Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

After both artists had played their respective sets they came back out together and eventually closed with a raucous cover of "Enter Sandman". I'm a big Satriani fan; on Vai's set what really set me...

    Re: WalMart buffing pads...

Yeah, I splurged during a DI sale and got LC SDO 5.5's for $4.70/ea. I always keep a watch out for specific product lines that are worth stockpiling.
  5. Carwash (allegedly) shuts down Tesla

No word on whether or not the car wash interfered with the knock sensor . . . :D

    Re: DFB's Garage

FWIW I waited 2 years and 10 months for my Bronco. Don't know if I'd do that again, knowing what I know now, but glad I have it and it's getting to be the season here for driving around with the top...

I've had their stuff a number of times via catering/pop-ups - the times they are actually "urban". :D

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

I was more whining about it being on a Saturday than about it having to be done, LOL, but thanks! Been a long time since I've had that type of thing done and pretty surprising how good my dentist...

Re: Tunnel wash rant - Free speech thread

My first bike was somebody else's trash. My Dad saw it had been thrown away and picked it out, did some basic refurb and then spray painted it black. I was in 1st grade so it's not like I...
  14. Re: The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Yeah, that's Toyota's system. It's pretty different compared to anything I'm used to, but if one goes by market share and sales volume and all that then it appears to be working for them - or at a...
  15. Re: What's been your bigest game changers? And why?

Question on the Ryobi 1800 Psi . . . can it use their siphon hose? I know on some of their cordless models there's a siphon hose available to allow using a container of water vs direct hose hookup. ...

Re: Anodized Rotor Clean and Protect

Ah, thanks for the clarification, that makes a LOT more sense! I'll leave it to others, then, as I don't have experience with that type of combo. Good luck!

Re: what's your weather currently like?

Mid-40's, sunny, but extremely *windy* (little alert flag on one of my PC's said "gale warning" earlier). Nice enough that I just pulled on a midweight jacket (unzipped) over my T-shirt to walk down...

Re: Anodized Rotor Clean and Protect

If the question is about treating the rotors themselves wouldn't the contact of the brake pads to the rotor pretty much destroy any consumer-level application of anything to the surface (assuming the...

    Re: Porsche GT3 Touring

Very nice! That's always been my "I just won the lottery" car, even config'd one in Gentian Blue (with the manual, of course). Looks great.
  21. Re: New to detailing, please answer my questions!

I'd suggest getting a quality detailing light so you can better examine the surface. You want to be able to see whatever it is you are trying to fix and then be able to see whether you fixed it...

Re: Can you Believe this is a Hyundai

Yeah, none of that flies IMO. Sometimes the best answer is just "We don't know why it failed, we're sorry for the trouble, but at least you are covered" instead of just making #### up. If you don't...
