    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

    Here's what their website says:

"V2, for Version 2, improves upon all the characteristics of the original formula that you've come to know and love! The most noticeable differences include: added...

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

Ah ok, good to know, thanks. It had that similar greasy stained feel to it. I should've just kept it but my disappointment in the rinseless made me just toss it out.

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

Gotcha, I presprayed so that might be why. And the ONR staining is easily removed on the sponges.

So maybe with Idrosave, don't prespray if you don't want the spotting?

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

Ok, so I am not crazy here when I said there is significant spotting left behind using Idrosave. I’m seeing other people say similar things - that when you prespray, you see spots left behind and...

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

I haven’t noticed significant staining with any of the ONRs and the sponges clean out well with soap. Also I am not sure if I can tell a big difference between the various ONR versions. I do use...

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

There are always pros and cons to any one of these products. For example, the surfactant based ones dry out rather quickly outdoors and especially when its sunny. Polymer types stain a bit more, some...

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

Exactly, except I think the media staining is worse than ONR because you can use some soap to clean out the sponges after ONR. You are right though about this rinseless leaving something behind - I...

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

The sponge I used was red and and it was very dirty after washing the first car and almost black after washing the second one. And the cars were not that dirty. So based on my usage of rinseless...

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

So I used Idrosave today. The product seems good but once you start using it, you notice that it stains the media very bad. The sponge I used was turning dark very quickly and towards the end of the...
  10. Re: Is pretreating necessary when rinseless washing?

The panels felt a lot more dryer than they do when I pretreat it. I think I'm going to go back to doing it. Definitely do not want swirls.
  11. Re: Is pretreating necessary when rinseless washing?

Yes, if the car is pretty dirty than wiping it off dry probably does increase the changes of swirls. I did rinse the car off before so I guess that helped a little. Glad to hear your wash methods are...
  12. Re: Is pretreating necessary when rinseless washing?

Yes I am realizing that. I guess it was just an impulsive move to just wash the car without pretreating it. I always do it but I guess I got lazy.
  13. Is pretreating necessary when rinseless washing?

    Hello ...

I always pretreat when I do a rinseless but today I just rinsed the car off and then did the rinseless without pretreating. I am having doubts if pretreating is really necessary or not....

Re: Turtle Wax GRAPHENE Flex Wax

Of course, that's viral marketing for you. You have the various characters pushing the products via their "reviews." The manufacturers + retailers as well as the "reviewers" benefit from this - one...

Re: Turtle Wax GRAPHENE Flex Wax

Sorry, I deleted my post. Seemed too wordy.

As to graphene, maybe you're right. Maybe it's more than a bunch of companies trying to capitalize on the moment. We will see but true ceramic coatings...

Re: Ceramic spray vs paste paint sealant.

Fye456, welcome! Glad to have you here.

To correct the swirls on your truck, you should definitely get a dual orbiter polisher. That is the only real way you can get them out. If you can live with...

Re: Has anyone used Optimum Big Red Sponge?

That's what I was thinking ... or overthinking lol. Yeah it does make sense - just rinse out the sponge. So I guess we have a few choices in the various sponges. All seem to be good. Thank you.

Re: Has anyone used Optimum Big Red Sponge?

I've noticed that there are more options now. I'm also pretty happy with the BRS but just have been hesitant trying something besides ONR with it. Yeah the gold sponge seems awfully similar and I'm...

Re: Has anyone used Optimum Big Red Sponge?

Ah ok, I did not even notice that Mckees has their own version (looks very similar) of the BRS. So I guess the wash media is isn't very specific to one rinseless vs. the other. I guess we fall for...

Re: Has anyone used Optimum Big Red Sponge?

I am just wondering how the BRS works when using something besides ONR. I know that BRS was supposedly designed to work with ONR but I'm curious to see how it works with other products. Supposedly,...

Hmm ok. I'm just going to leave it be for a while and see how it does. As long as it does not grow, I'll be ok with it.

    Thanks.

    Rust forming

Hello, it appears that rust is forming in a small section of the trunk. I'm wondering what is a good approach for this issue. I was thinking of either living with it or maybe applying some IronX to...
  24. Re: Bonded contaminants after only 1 month of not washing

I do appreciate everyone's responses. It does seem like not washing the car for that amount of time might be a big reason for wax/sealant weakening. But that is kind of interesting, isn't it.

    I'm...
  25. Bonded contaminants after only 1 month of not washing

Hello, I'm just a little surprised at how the surface of my car, especially the flat surfaces, have become rough with contaminants after just washing it.

I haven't washed the car since about a...
