Last year I applied gyeon mohs to my friends car for the first time, 2 layers (coats)
I had tiny bit of left over that was just enough to cover 1 layer on my truck hood and ..... my truck hood is...
I am thinking about trying gyeon pure, one layer coating and then topper.
Trying to make coating process little simpler by reducing "layering" process.
Is gyeon cancoat meant to be topper or...
Yes..... for painted surfaces, which those ceramic coatings are designed for....
under carriage coating is totally different subject and mostly done with rubberized products.
oh well excuse...
I don't even understand how $3 coating popped up and now talking about under carriage coating ....
and I was saying there are Mr fix 9H and 9H mr fix two brands on ebays and they call each others...
We are talking about the purpose of coating, if $3 made in china coating works for you, go ahead
but again if they works that well, then why any of pro detailers use it?
I mean there is mr fix...
and I am dealing with 70 degree weather in Richmond, VA and it was 10 like 2 weeks ago.... wth xD
your coating did not go "south" due to car shampoo,
car shampooes won't even desolve wax....
It is wax/ conditioner/ other layer of protection built in to soap.
Same reason why coating...
If you ask me, one of the huge benefit of coating is chemical resistance and self cleaning ability,
and this make maintaining car a lot easiler.
Reload/ cure and other coating maintenance...
Update:
after long weeks of raining,
I finally had chance to bring my customer back and wash the car myself.
Pre-soaked with gyeon foam and then hand washed w/ gyeon bath essence and beading...
temp was similar, but humidity was mid 40s.
After CQUK installation, car stayed in garage for 2 days, before it went outside for the first time.
I did find couple high spots that I missed...
First time using CQUK 3.0, (on 2018 VW GTI)
I had experience with older CQUK and loved it, but some reason
this 3.0 failed after 2 weeks, no beading... super slow sheating like paint has no wax/...

Do not apply to surfaces that are hot to...
ordered some S20 and S30+
I have high hope for these products,
cuz its says "Won't stick to paint even on hot surfaces"
I used to have same ryobi 1600 psi unit and it did decent job for the price while running,
but within return period time, unit I had stopped pumping waters. It's good unit, but if youre detailing...
thats smiliar to what I did,
instead of adding products, I sprayed water on surface, pass couple times and buffed.
I read something about "wet buffing" or w.e it calls
But looks like prime your pad and use extra extra polish to get it more saturated.
But I dont know how about this option.
I tried all the combination possible with what I have
Rupes 21es, PC 7424xp, griots 3", flex pe-8
no, its super soft paint, it like to absorb polishing oil/ lubricant
causing it to feel "sticky" and dry buff.
You're absolutely correct.
After spending few hours in front of computer to tackle this correctly
I learned that its "sticky" paint and these type of paint like to absorb polishing oil/...
I need help with polishing sticky paints.
Compound/ polish were drying almost instantly and I thought it was due to humility
but now I think it's because paint is super sticky/ soft, absorbing...

That is the exact same problem Im having,
and if I didnt work my polish long enough, I...
So I started AiO process for 2011 black subaru.
I was polishing inside of garage, door closed, box fan running
and when I started to polish..... as soon as I pass the section, polishes dry...
How I tell if its CC or not on carbon fiber?
is it so called dry carbon vs wet?
then these panels I looked at today seemed "wet" so clear coated?
Is there anything I should look out for polishing carbon fiber parts?
is it harder or softer?
can I wet sand like normal painted surface?
Anything I should never do?
