Re: how NOT to detail a car....VID

Yikes. I was waiting for him to use a leaf blower to dry it out.

Not much dumber than using steel wool to wash the exterior I guess...

    Re: Using ONR

Takes me about 20 minutes to do an average sized car. I mimic the same technique as posted earlier. Might take me longer with excessive dirt. Once done with the paint, I pour the remainder of ONR in...

Re: I'm new to using a Makita 9227c Polisher

Its fairly easy to use. Just go carefully, keep the polisher moving and take your time. You'll be amazed how much easier and faster it is to use over the orbital. Make sure to tape all necessary trim...

So, the question really comes down to if there was job so putrid that you turned it down no matter the cost?

Thank you for the kind words. Love conversing with those who share the same passions.

BTW, have used the twins with a rotary. Awesome combo. Tend to use the glaze first before the total swirl...

Re: New Wolfgang 3.0 Twins Review

Yes, but its a great cleaner anytime. Gets out grime ONR cannot. Almost like a paint eraser. Love the stuff.

Re: New Wolfgang 3.0 Twins Review

Its a light chemical cleaner from Duragloss. Awesome product for an AIO application. Use it after claying. Works wonders on wheels too. My fav product so far.

    Re: Cleaning Inside of Windshield

Afterwards, keep some window cleaner and a mf in your car. When you drive into the sun, you'll no doubt find some missed spots. Pull over in a lot facing sun and finish the job.

    Re: Glass streaks

Best procedure for me is wash first with ONR, wipe dry and use Aquawax for final swipes. Underrated on windows/glass, never streaks and leaves surface smooth and slick. Makes rain bead right off...

Re: pinnacle or wolfgang tire gel

personally, i like the pinnacle. seems to sling less and has a nice look. just remember to gently wipe with a mf towel 10 minutes after applying. 2x coats will leave a shinier finish. a little goes a...

Don't forget to save up for psychiatric bills...Black is awesome but unless you dial down perfect paint expectations, you could be wearing a straight jacket in the near future :xyxthumbs:

Re: Quick detailers with good cleaning power??

Yeah, but I've read that with that light a mix, AW doesn't add too much sealant properties. Will say that AW alone is awesome on glass. No streaks and leaves glass incredibly slick.
  21. Re: Wolfgang 3.0 DPGS Sealant and Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel Reviews

RSurfer: Isn't it weird how that is? Tried everyway possible to make the Wolfgang Tire Gel not sling but to no avail. Wonder if the type tire makes a difference with extra or no side ribbing?

Re: Quick detailers with good cleaning power??

DG 521--the marine version of 921. Better cleaner than the 921 IMHO. Excellent cleaner leaving a glossy, slick paint. I mix with 20% AW. Awesome to use on wheels and glass too.
