  1. Re: How to wash your car using the two bucket method

Thanks Mike! Three years later and I wash it the same way when it is above freezing. Also, thanks so much for all the information. I will be an Autogeek customer for life.

Re: Quickest way to get 'er done?

I do have hot/cold running water outside and I use this method all the time. Having a great wax on the car is invaluable for a quick clean. Thank you Mike for making us all better car owners.

    Re: After the rain

Awesome ideas. I am using the Wolfgang rinseless diluted to whatever it said to use as a waterless. I will give the ONR a shot next.

    After the rain

A scenario that seems to be common enough for me that I should have a standard procedure.

So I drive 35 nasty highway miles in a pouring rain. Like any good Autogeek I recently put Fuizon over a...
  5. Re: Coating questions? Do they degrade? Are you married to them? Can you go back to a wax or sealant?

Hahahahahahahaha - a whole year. How many people here have waxed a whole car more than once inside of a week for a slightly less than sane reason? (or is that just something I do?)

I write code for a living for an auto manufacturer and I come home a train like a competitive powerlifter. Believe me, I know all about body maintenance and have a chiropractor and massage therapist...

Funny enough, I was just brushing my teeth and while moving my electric toothbrush along the prescribed pattern I had the odd thought that I am actually not brushing, but rather machine polishing...

She doesn't ask about my "carwash stuff" and I don't ask about her clothing purchases. She accepts that washing the car makes me happy so off I am sent.

Hysterically awkward secret handshake returned. Java is for drinking, C (and begrudgingly C++ and Python) are for coding. The condescending UNIX user from the Dilbert comics is my career goal.

    Re: Advice for a Newbie

I use a rinseless occasionally. I use the leaf blower rarely and rely on the electric dryer. I have all the stuff on hand and the hose is coiled right beside my driveway. It only takes 4-6 minutes to...

    Re: Advice for a Newbie

I am almost literally in the same boat but a few years into this. I traverse I-275 and I-696 basically daily and I like to keep my little ATS super shiny because I park in a sea of Cadillacs.

"Paint is a wear part, like brakes pads. Why prolong the inevitable failure?"

A coworker with a doctorate degree in engineering said that about his G37.

I just applied Wolfgag Fuzion two weeks after applying DGPS and it looks fantastic. WGDP looks great on it's own but like everyone above said it is stupid easy to apply and let it cure for 12 hours.

    Thanks for the reply!

M105 was a typo. I meant 205 and the Meguiar's folks were kind enough to put an idiot proof label to differentiate the two.

    Mike,

Yet again you changed the way I care for my cars. I have a ton of drying towels now that I do not care to think about how much I spent. I have a ridiculously overpowered leaf blower that...
