  1. Re: Found a scratch after applying sealant, now what?

Optimum No Rinse. A very popular rinseless wash concentrate on the forum.

But good luck with the repairs! Should come out just as pristine as you were hoping.
  2. Re: ever wetsanded a single scratch out of a headlamp without distortion?

I would say give it a try with the 1500 with just the scratch isolated with tape then work your way to 2500 while making the area a little larger with the finer grit. I'm no expert though, so wait...

Re: Have a scratch how to fix?

Yes it can be done by hand. Purchase Megs Ultimate Compound. It is okay for use by hand, cheap, and can be easily found OTC. It should finish out well enough for your satisfaction as well.

Re: Mobile Detailing, what to use for shade

That's only true to a point, with any product I believe. A cooler work surface is usually always easier to work with.

    Re: Hobbiest vs Pro

For me detailing is a hobby when its for my own car, a job for cars I don't care about, and obsession for those "point of interest cars" I get every now and then. I'm only 18 and using it to make...

    Re: MF towels. Need help

I doubt that using the same washer machine that has previously had fabric softener will have much of an effect on it. The water:fabric softener ratio is probably far diluted, and I'm not sure if any...

    Re: Typical Defect Depths

Good to know this stuff! I've always been curious about it.

So does this mean, you could use lets say an aio or maybe m205 to remove light swirls multiple times a year without abrading away too...

Thanks you! Even I was surprised at how much depth I was able to achieve with silver paint. I was just going for shine in the beginning

    2001 BMW Paint Restoration

    Hello everyone!

I did a full paint correction on my 2001 e39 540i six speed. It was much needed and I took a few pictures along the way. Probably should have taken more before photos though. I'm...

Re: Trim dressing that wont run?

I've used Griots long lasting tire dressing and got good results. It's only been a few weeks but it's held up and looks the same as it did when I first applied it.

Re: Spray wax or Quick detailer

well I'm glad to hear I wasn't just pulling it out of nowhere then hahah but come to think of it, cloudiness from layering never really made sense to me for a few reasons.

    -I've layered my car...

Re: Time to talk about pricing...

I'd agree with that, but my 3 step only worked on paint besides the windows, trim, and wheels (didn't touch interior) which may have only bitten off 2 hours out of the 13ish total. Not trying to...

Re: Spray wax or Quick detailer

I understand what you're saying, but I think the purpose of a quick detailer is to do a minor cleaning/dust off without building up those layers as said previously. because as I've heard (although...

Re: Time to talk about pricing...

a 6 hour 3-step? Damn I have some things to learn then on speed detailing then!

I'm not quite sure how you could compound/polish that fast though. I completed a paint correction on my e39 540i...

Re: Question on Griot's 3" DA

I'm going to shoot out a take a guess that the reason the GG3 may have overheated on him is because he may be covering the intake ports of the buffer with his hand. I don't have the GG3, but I've...
