  1. Re: Buying a Water Tank, do I need a water pump along with my gas Pressure Waher?

No, when the trigger is squeezed the regulator shuts the water off from going back into the tank. It only pumps water back into the tank when the trigger isn't squeezed.

Re: Would this be a time for wet sanding?

Being that you've never wet sanded I'd highly recommend going to a junk yard and try taking out similar depth scratches. Depending on the yard they might give you a bashed panel.

  7. Re: Buying a Water Tank, do I need a water pump along with my gas Pressure Waher?

No. I detailed for many years using gravity fed. I still have the equipment and it's a 100 gallon tank and a Honda motor with a 2700psi CAT pump. Just make sure your tank is a inch or so above the...

For stubborn sap I use a hook and pick set. Google it. For raised sap I'll hook the top and pull off what I can and pick the remaining as low as I can before touching paint. For flat dried out sap I...

  11. Re: '79 Barn Find w/ Original Paint Before and After Photos

Thanks Kamakaz! Lot of work but in the end it was worth it. I could pay to have it sprayed but God willing I'm still able to keep up with the high maintenance of the original paint.

    Strange Dull Spot On Lacquer

    Mike,

I detailed professionally for 15 years as self employed. Retired from detailing a while back due to knee issues. I bought a '79 Bronco that sat in a barn for many years and once delivered to...
  14. Re: '79 Barn Find w/ Original Paint Before and After Photos

I love that style as well but the full-size has my heart for some reason. It wasn't easy finding one that is rust free, unmolested and with only 80k clocked on the odometer

    Thank you!
  16. Re: '79 Barn Find w/ Original Paint Before and After Photos

I'm not as familiar with older car paint like this one but I really don't think it ever had clear. I believe it's acrylic lacquer because it's old and I was able to "move" the paint MUCH easier than...

All original '79 Bronco that I bought five years ago. Old lady in north GA had it sitting in the barn for 11 years. These are before and after photos after I did a 3 step wet sand, 3 step high speed...
