Re: Why the hype about water beading?

And the question is: what product will repel water and not let it bead?

Is there a durable wax or sealant that will NOT bead the water?

I really don't care what most others like or assume, what...

Re: Why the hype about water beading?

    PiPUK,
If you or anyone can't honestly say on public forum what product they believe works best (just because you don't pay AG an advertisement fees), then what is the use of coming here and asking...

Re: Why the hype about water beading?

You are absolutely right! The existing formula is simple:

Marketing + Ignorant Consumer = Volume sales w/profit.

Great Product (scientifically tested) + (still) Ignorant Consumer = Low volume,...

    Coach Steve,

I am sure an expert in detailing , with years of experience, will have precise suggestions how to handle the various elevations on vehicle's body. So, please do not consider my post...

His article is a good read, but I am not planning to start a detailing business anytime soon.

Start-ups will have a tough time doing detailing for a living. It is not getting the equipment and...

    Re: Autoglym resin polish ?

I watched videos and instructions by Mike and he also suggests to set the DA on 5 to 6 speed to remove the paint defects. I have never run by buffer at anything above 4 and even at 4 I would run it...

As All In One you mean?

I will not be using it as AIO though. They also have a paste wax at Autoglym and I may either follow their resin polish with their more expensive wax or I may follow the...

    Re: Autoglym resin polish ?

    How about Autoglym?

I like the product for what I hear about it so far, but at the same time I don't want to buy just a wax and sealant. I need at least some true correction (aside from filling in...

    Re: Autoglym resin polish ?

I was looking at M205 and #80 (also Megs). #80 is said to be more on "pure polish" side, but more often recommended for older, single coat paints (or fresh paints), whereas M205 is said to be good...

    Autoglym resin polish ?

I found a product through online search and it's called Autoglym Resin Polish.

I saw raving positive reports, but almost all of the reviews come from retail buyers who appear to own high end cars....

They are better now. Took me an hour of hard work with Lexol to reduce that hideous shine on my seats. I still have residues around headsets and around center console.

    Happy Thanksgiving to you...

Make sure it's safe for the paint. I never heard of it, but sounds like a powerful, commercial grade , all purpose cleaner.

  17. Re: Please help! Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather cleaner-conditioner ruined brand new seats !

Re: tree sap on glass, anyone?

I used in past (with variable success) a paint thinner / lacquer thinner to remove tree sap from the clear coat/paint.
But I don't recommend you do that, you may easily do more damage than good if...
