  1. Re: Meguiar's Hot Rims Brake Dust Barrier Review and Testing

How far does it go? Not sure what that questions means. It acts as a great barrier so I don't have to spend a ton of Sonax getting my wheels cleaned up. I'd say it makes follow up washes and getting...

    Re: Working Out/Staying in shape-thread

Working out 3 days a week on and off. Too many things get in the way at that time. Upped my weight from 144 to 155 and staying steady now. Focusing on core vs body building. Dropped all supplements...

Re: How to clean 3M vinyl wrap???

I've used quick detailer but it leaves streaks and its hard to get a clean finish if its matte black. I've used 303 on the vinyl I have on my car and given the color and finish I never have issues....

    Re: Undercarriage detailing

You "polished my drive shaft once before but didn't get aggressive enough for my liking".

    I just loled a lot. Funny! :)

^Kudo's and I think congrats are in order. They are definitely top notch and they have a lot of trust to be giving you a call so whatever you're doing is working!

Re: How to handle this type of client?!

They are into automotive restoration. They do not do simple modern replica's. Their work is not to be taken lightly.

Taste of their work. Full magnesium shell. They aren't into repainting and...

    Re: Garage make over

    Mine's so basic its ridiculous!
    1. Separate area for tools vs detailing implements.
    2. Reference lights surrounding the car.
    3. Inspirational artwork to keep you going.
    4. Area for a basic...
  12. Re: Advice for metallic black paint - Dealership Installed Swirls

Seriously how did they do that in one wash?! They had to be a special kind of careless to do that much damage. That's really sad!
  13. Re: Holograms & scratches put into your car by someone else should be a crime

Car washes that have those dumb brushes should be a crime. I feel like warning people about it but I feel like it makes me come across as a know it all. Been called that before, so it's hard to say...

    Re: Flipping cars

I haven't done it so far. If you're talking about making a lot of money off it, nah. I've just seen a lot of bikes and cars that are mechanically okay but are in terrible condition to look at and can...

    Re: Flipping cars

I've been wanting start with bikes and then move to cars. Once you have an eye for what's right and whats wrong its pretty fun. Investment cost is what I'd be wary of though.
  16. Re: Disturbing Interior Detail - Dodge Nitro by Visual Pro Detailing

That car must me mechanically toast given the interior. Freaking awesome job! I thought some of the cars I did have been bad. Incredible work! You love what you do and it shows!

Re: Cars that are seldom washed have less swirls

The downside is that touchless car washes use so much pressure that it can force water into areas it should not be. I'd prefer doing it by hand. I've had some swirls come up but with sealant it...

    Re: Surcharge for Suv

Dealer's won't realize good work. They care about getting it to look relatively good at the cheapest price. If you want respect for your work I'd suggest offering your service to a car that shows up...

    Re: Surcharge for Suv

If its that many hours then you're right. I spend about 2 hours and charge 70 for an interior detail. But SLC is a bad market while starting out. Most people do notice the difference between a hack...
  22. Re: Meguiar's Hot Rims Brake Dust Barrier Review and Testing

I've been using it on my wheels that are painted and its great since it acts like spray wax, makes my wheel's paint pop and makes it easier to clean later on. I've reduced the usage of my wheel...
