Re: Is Creating An LLP Stupid?

Oh, okay. I was under the impression that an LLP was the same thing as an LLC except the company was under two names. I have a business marketing degree, not a law degree, and I didn't listen in my...

    Is Creating An LLP Stupid?

A buddy and I are huge into detailing. We have been doing cars together for the past couple months. It works because he loves interiors, I love exteriors, and our personalities match. We would like...

    Re: Extractor -vs- Wet/Dry Vac?

I think I will go wet/dry vac. I am going to purchase a carpet brush for my DA that will help clean. And not only can I use it for extraction, but also sweeping up dirt and gravel. And most have a...

    Extractor -vs- Wet/Dry Vac?

I'm looking to spend around $120.

On one hand, I thought of purchasing a Bissell Spot Clean Pro which is made for extracting. It's small, can hold solution, and has a tank for extraction.

    But I...
  5. Re: Looking to buy 5 new products. Your experience/recommendations welcomed!

    So far:

I purchased two nanoskin sponges, a medium and a fine
My friend bought Zaino Z6 QD that he is letting me mooch
I purchased a rubber pet hair brush through amazon
    I'll pass for now on...
  6. Looking to buy 5 new products. Your experience/recommendations welcomed!

I do a lot of research here on AG, but three hours later (three less hours of sleep) I hate myself for wasting so much time. Rather than pick apart every post in existence, I thought I might as well...

Re: Can washing cause holograms? [pics]

Should I drop to 205 and white pad or will that not be aggressive enough to remove them?

    Can washing cause holograms? [pics]

Hey everyone. I'm detailing a newer, black Maxima. It was really dirty, but appeared to be in great shape. Then I removed the dirt and was confronted with a Monster!

    There were scratches...

    Re: I Hate Cloth Interiors!

The more I visit the boards, the more I realize there's a product for everything. Sheesh.

Thanks a lot for the info!

    Re: I Hate Cloth Interiors!

So, emery stone, duct tape, and Bissell Little Green. Anybody else have success with other extractors?

    I Hate Cloth Interiors!

Pet hair. Nasty smell. Stains. Hard-to-reach areas. Trampled areas.

I recently detailed my sister-in-law's Maxima. It's a large car and there is cloth everywhere.

She enjoys taking her 2 big...

Has Anybody Here Ever Spray Painted a Car?

My next door neighbor has a 1986 Toyota Supra that just sits in her driveway.

  13. Re: Girlfriend's mom wants me (noob) to detail her car...

    Thank you!

I used generic O'Reilly soap (finishing up what I have)
Mothers Clay Kit (I hate the quick detailed that came with it)
    M105 w/ orange 5.5 LC pad on 7424XP
    M205 w/ white "..."...
  14. Re: Girlfriend's mom wants me (noob) to detail her car...

I guess it wasn't a completely a set thing. I was there with all my stuff in my trunk and he mentioned it, but... I'm not really sure. He mentioned the stuff about wanting to pay me to do it, then I...

    Re: Scrubbing Bubbles on leather???

    Haha! Maybe... :xyxthumbs:

Since that's the case and with all the favorable comments, I will probably go with Lexol. And use Meg's APC+ if need be.

The problem with Leatherique is that I don't...
  16. Re: Girlfriend's mom wants me (noob) to detail her car...

I went over today and things were pretty jovial. They offered to pay for the detailing but that's a no-go with how much they feed me. He saw my freshly detailied car and was much impressed. Now I...
  17. Re: Girlfriend's mom wants me (noob) to detail her car...

This is probably for the best. No need for M105 unless they specifically tell me to do it.

Thank you everybody for the tips and advice.

    Re: Scrubbing Bubbles on leather???

The seats are seven years old, but still in very good shape. Minimal wear and good color.

So an APC would work great, as well as Megs GC? I don't need it to be professional, just clean and...

    Scrubbing Bubbles on leather???

Hey. I was researching the best way to clean leather and I have read favorable reviews on using Scrubbing Bubbles (green cap). Do any of you all have experience with this?

If not, what is the best...
  20. Re: Girlfriend's mom wants me (noob) to detail her car...

This seems right, but the exterior is so much more fun!

I started on my car's exterior at 11:30am Saturday and had to stop at 6:00pm. In that time I got finished with tire wash, exterior wash,...

Re: Bought my First Set of Products

I would rather go for a dedicated sealant rather than a combination product. I've heard great things about Duragloss, Klasse, and another one that started with a "C". I think I may try out the Klasse...

Thank you. This list is very helpful.
  23. Re: Girlfriend's mom wants me (noob) to detail her car...

    Great advice!
  24. Re: Girlfriend's mom wants me (noob) to detail her car...

It would be Sunday. I'm compounding my own car completely tomorrow sun-up and doing my girlfriend's - just the cleaner wax (bad clear coat). By then I should be comfortable enough to tackle the job.
  25. Re: Girlfriend's mom wants me (noob) to detail her car...

After 6 months you would think I wouldn't be so intimidated anymore... Maybe my detailing is a way to win their hearts.

What risk is there in going with the cut of #1?
