Re: A question about dressing trim.

I usually just tape around the edges like i would when polishing. Or i get a peice of cardboard and use it as a cover while i do a section.

    Re: 2005 Cavalier

Geez, sounds like the people around my area. They always come up and ask me how much i would charge for a good polish and clean. When i tell then its gonna be in the 100-250 range, which is still...

Re: 2005 Jeep GC exterior detail

Hahaha. I agree. Every time i tell myself to take pictures during the process I never do. I find it a big PITA and I don't have time to be fussing with it.

    Re: Microfiber towels suggestions

PIf you're poor like me. I would go with the gold plush jrs. Good price and good quality. I know there are other softer or plusher towels, but I can't afford em.

    Re: d300 vs m105

I used to have a huge problem with m105 before and hated the ever living day lights out of it. But when it's all you've got you have to try and bring out it's full potential. M105 is very finicky to...

Re: Review: Meguiar's Tire & Trim Gel

As someone who owns an 07 malibu that's the way the car sits stock. Don't know if he's noticed but the rear of my malibu sits lower than the front. I have no idea why.
  9. Re: how aggressive of a swirl remover do I need?

The products weren't the problem. Unfortunately it's your buffer. You will need something with more power and the right pads in order to do any correction work on your vehicle.

    Re: Mustang paint hardness?

The 2007 mustang i did had medium soft paint. UC and a orange flat pad got me about 95% correction.

Re: First Impression: Meguiar's Black wax

No i didnt. I wanted to see how it would perform on its own. Its a great product and I usually use it as a nice gloss enhancer on cars. Makes em look nice.

Re: First Impression: Meguiar's Black wax

After using both the white and black wax for awhile I actually use white wax much more. White wax has better correction ability and cleans up the vehicles very well based on pad combo and the amount...

Awesome review! So for the lack of feel it makes up on being cost effective and faster? Sounds good to me! Haha. Thanks again!
  16. Re: How many pads do you use for each step in detailing?

Because im poor, i usually use 4 pads for compounding, 3 for polish and 1 for wax. For compounding and polish i use 5 inch pads. Wax i use 6 inch.

Re: The joys of living in the high desert

I definitely feel you. I live in west texas and the wind just sucks. Cleaned my car yesterday and it took 20 minutes to add a nice layer of dust.
  20. Re: Wash, Clay, Machine polish and then hand apply sealant and or wax by hand?

I prefer to use a machine to apply my LSP. I find i use less product than i would by hand, and it leaves a thin even layer. My hand also gets all cramped up when i apply by hand.

    Re: Which CG shampoo?

    yAA

Wash and gloss IS great and I hear the clear clear wash is awesome as well. Honestly I fell in love with duragloss 901. Soap smells great, created crazy foam in a gun, and is super slick!...

Re: CG W&G with Foam Cannon

Yeah. I've tried using Wash and gloss in my foam gun in so many dilutions, but it always strips the LSP. I only use wash and gloss when using buckets, and DG901 with the foam gun.

    Re: Glass Polish Recommendation

I've used ceri-glass and I'm still wary whenever I have to bust it out. Ceri-glass is a something that either makes you or breaks you. I use p21s paint cleanser.
