Just used up the last of my TW Tire Coat which I apply twice per year. Is there a similar product out there these days?? What did most of you switch too when your supply ran out?
I just did the hood so far and the clay got it all off. I'll get a chance to mess with it tomorrow and try to determine what it is. Judging by the black color on the clay bar I'm still thinking it...
Did a full clay bar and wax job about 3 weeks ago and she was looking and feeling perfect. Washed her up the other day and noticed some kind of fine mist had coated the paint while I was drying with...
Tire and trim coatings have saved me so much time it's ridiculous!!!! I get about 6 months out of my tire coating and well over a year out of my trim coating. Pretty amazing since I live in...
I use my HF Palm Polisher to apply sealant and do some very minor correction. It's super light and really easy to use with one hand. I rigged mine to use regular 6 inch pads and tend to reach for...
I did a test with these two on the hood and doors of my Ford Edge about 3 years ago and the 111/601 seemed to last longer through a Michigan winter with frequent washes to remove salt. I applied...
Agree but I'd probably hit everything including the tips with high temp silver. Nice thing is that you can always hit it again if it starts to look bad.
I've always undercoated and rust proofed my own vehicles to battle the salt belt I live in. Rust proofing lasts for years but I do touch up the undercoating every year before the snow flies. Not...
I've used quite a few on your list. I've never had good durability luck with 845 when compared to Z2 and DG 105 but that could be cuz I live in a winter salt belt and tend to wash a lot. I've had...
Did you just do one coat 2 years ago and is that a redneck deer whistle on the bumper??:):) I know the trim on those Jeeps (Liberty?) started to grey as soon as you drove them off the dealership lot.
I know this is an old thread but I see that TW Trim Coating is still available on Ebay. I just picked up another bottle cuz this stuff is amazing. I applied it to my 2011 Edge, which sits outside...
My 2011 Ford Edge came with really ugly painted on pinstripes and Lacquer thinner was the only thing that worked to remove them. Took some time to rub them off with a soaked rag but it didn't do any...
111 is also my favorite Duragloss product. Way easier to apply then 105 and seems a wee bit more durable. 111 spreads like butter if you apply it by hand so a few drops go a looooong way.
If I could go back in time I'd have the grill on my Ford Edge wrapped with that clear bra stuff. I swear you can chip that chrome coated plastic by just looking at it!!!
I'm still blown away by Turtle Wax Trim Coat. Did my 2011 Edge over a year ago with two coats and it still looks amazing!!! My Edge sits outside 24/7 in Michigan. I thought the Tire Coat was good...
I've used both and agree 100%. The 111 is also way easier to apply compared to 105. When it comes to nasty winter durability, Z-2 is still the longest lasting sealant I've used but I'm sticking...
I don't see a problem doing it unless it's a classic or soon to be classic vehicle. Rustproofing doesn't really show but undercoating can look horrible if not done properly. Even the undercarriage...
I would agree that Z-2 is still one of the best sealants out there especially when it comes to durability and ease of application. I switched to Duragloss 601/111 about 2 years ago and it goes on...
