Re: I'm about to Pull the trigger

I'm kind of in the same boat...I sold my Dewalt and bought a 3401. However, I "feel" as if I need one, rather than actually needing it. Most of the time customers love the correction I'm able to...
  3. Re: My thoughts on the micro fiber pads and a flex 3401

I find that my 3401 is much better with a LC foam pad...as far as vibration and control. I use the Optimum MF pads, but feel that the machine vibrates right through them. I love the pads...

Re: Chicagoland Detail Day is Sept 23rd!

I'm going to need to cancel for this weekend. I picked up two full corrections and can't turn down the cash. Sorry guys!!!! Ron, PM me and I can still get you some OC 2.0. Thanks guys. Maybe next...

He's just kidding around...please don't take offense. BTW...it is a good idea. I still use my finger and never think about using any given number of tools in my garage. Now I will. Thanks. :dblthumb2:

Re: Pulling trigger for a 3401

Don't own a GG, but have seen guys do great work with them. The only reason I went with the FLEX, was due to the reputation. As far as power is concerned, I'd have to try both out to make that call....

Re: Pulling trigger for a 3401

I have one and love it. However, I do miss the ease of use with my PC (i.e. being able to maneuver better). It's not a huge difference between the two machines, but enough to make me notice. I'll...

    Re: Respirator for IronX

I wouldn't worry too much. I just wear one, because I've inhaled way too much junk in my life.

    Re: Respirator for IronX

I went to one of the big box stores and got one that was rated for paint fumes, etc.... looks like something you would wear during a plague in a Sci fi movie :-) Not sure about the specific rating...
  12. Re: Thinking of getting a Flex 3401 kit....not sure which one

I bought mine separately and pieced everything together. For example, My FLEX was $319, on Amazon. I bought it through PBMG (the parent company of Autogeek). I called autogeek and they matched it. I...

    Dare I ask?

Came across this last night while doing a YouTube search for Optimum Opti-Clean. The company is called Croftgateusa. I watched a few videos out of curiosity....anyone else used, seen, or heard of...

Re: Chicagoland Detail Day is Sept 23rd!

Add Opti Coat 2.0 and Opti Clean to my list of items to bring. I just ordered up 4 tubes of Opti Coat 2.0. Gonna bring a tube up if someone wants to apply it on a panel.

Re: 7.5" pads with a Flex 3401. Go or No Go ?

6.5" is as high as I have gone, and it has the "juice" to move mine. As far as personal preferance is concerned, I use 5.5" on most cars. I like the feel of the smaller pad, but that is just me.
