I can't really tell from your pictures, but I have seen quite a few older—Lexus? Lexuses? Lexi?—with oxidized single stage paint.

Well, grease is hydrophobic, but, as I remember well from my youth and wearing good old Murray's Pomade, it tends to magnify the sun's rays. Soooooo, yeah. ;)

I wish I had the funds to collect 850 Rs! I've got a '96 GLT wagon and my DD is an '05 S60 T5. Did he do the auto/manual swap? As far as I know there weren't any 850s with turbos...

I leave lubrication to customers and just gently clean with APC, but for our cars I power wash the crap out of them and soak them in lithium grease. Doesn't look good, but I've never had a squeaky...

Well, I broke down and got the stuff today. Looking forward to trying it this weekend.
