Google it. There's a thread on another forum explaining it in depth. It's basically a washer between the plate and the machine to allow the pad to spin freely. Helps improve cut.

I've never used maguires but meguiar's makes a similar product called ultimate wax. It's nice because it goes on thin and durability is good, but personally I prefer other waxes or sealants to this.

Yeah just use a towel. Maybe mist it with some qd to add lubricity.

Idk wasn't a fan. Yeah it applies easily but the look just wasnt what it's hyped up to be. And it attracts dust like no tomorrow.
