Sealing in Type II Water Spots

Unfortunately, I have some type 2 water spots on my clear coat. Removed the majority of them using Megs Ultimate Compound with Lake County Orange pad, but couldn't remove all of them (didn't want to...
  4. Re: Tape Residue Removal On Clear Bra and Bumper

Yeah, did that today, since it was taking too much time to clean up all the areas with the clay bar. He gave me a can of Stoner Xenit Citrus Cleaner. Took the mess right off, problem solved.
  5. Re: Tape Residue Removal On Clear Bra and Bumper

Thanks for the advice! However, before reading the response, I used my clay bar on the residue. It actually worked/ removed the adhesive.
  6. Tape Residue Removal On Clear Bra and Bumper

My clear bra installer told me to apply transparent tape on the edges of the PPF when claying/ polishing paint. Realize now that using this type of tape was a mistake, it left behind a nasty residue...

Re: Polished Car, No Time To Apply Sealant

Thanks for the replies! Unfortunately it is dark, so I can't apply any more product this evening. Was going to try ReJex Sealant, but it requires time to cure in dry conditions, so I'm going with my...

Polished Car, No Time To Apply Sealant

Machine polished my car with Meg Ultimate Polish, but ran out of daylight before I could apply a sealant. Rain is in forecast, I don't have a garage, and more than likely the paint is going to get...
  9. Re: Car detailed, ppf applied, and 1000's of scratches

As mentioned in a previous post, I simply don't have time at moment to do it myself...
  10. Re: Car detailed, ppf applied, and 1000's of scratches

Well maybe you can, I probably haven't detailed as many cars as you. But I'll have a lot more fun, save a bunch of $, and savor that wonderful feeling of self satisfaction/ pride by doing it myself....
  11. Re: Car detailed, ppf applied, and 1000's of scratches

    Thanks for all the feedback!

First, I believe that the detailer did not remove all the defects during paint correction. Secondly, I believe the ppf company added a few more scratches when applying...
  12. Re: Car detailed, ppf applied, and 1000's of scratches

    $150 for an exterior detail:

    Exterior Wash
    Clean wheels and dress tires
    Remove all tar and sap
Clay bar the surface of the paint
Compound buff to remove oxidization and light scratches
    Polish...
  13. Re: Car detailed, ppf applied, and 1000's of scratches

HA, yeah, the detailer got paid! They had it around 5 hours.

Luckily, I have my own GG DA polisher, and thanks to the videos/ articles on this website, know how to use it. I've detailed my...
  14. Car detailed, ppf applied, and 1000's of scratches

Took my brand new Mazda3 to the detailer to get micro scratches and swirls removed from the paint (courtesy the dealer prep bozos). It looked beautiful when the detailer was finished with it. Brought...

Re: For a gallon of gas....that's ridiculous!!!

    Whoops!

Subtract a buck from those prices I listed....

As a bonus, they pump the gas for you here in Oregon, no self serve, a major plus when it's cold and pouring rain.

Re: For a gallon of gas....that's ridiculous!!!

Here in Portland, OR, it's $4.69 at overpriced Shell station at bottom of hill, but $4.29 a few miles away at my favorite Arco station.

    Re: Installed my remaining LED's...

2.5 year on the SS Ultra's?!?! That's fantastic, I averaged only about 4 months with my first set. Complained to Sylvania, and they sent me another set, which also lasted about 4 months. They put...

Re: How to clean MF pads?

Don't know for sure if it will work with pads, but the only thing that would remove the stains from my microfiber cloths was oxi-clean.
  23. Re: will AG refund the difference if item goes on sale?

Highly doubt they will refund the difference, and would be really surprised if what you are considering doing would work. Let it go and move on, which applies to some of your other recent posts as...
