    Re: Velocity special...Rallying-The Killer Years

Those were the good old days of racing!
F1 cars were pushing over 1000hp from 1500cc without traction control!
Insane power, very little interference (electronic driver aids, etc)

    Unfortunately...

    Re: Auto Finesse Giveaway!

Would like to try Citrus Power as it's winter here in Oz & the lower sections of my cars get caked in filth.
Have heard this product is a good alternative to foaming which would be great... I love...

Re: Bumper Buddy ruined my bumper!

I wouldn't expect IronX or 845 to remove anything.
845 is a wax & IronX will only remove, well, iron...

As mentioned try a light abrasive polish.
How long did you have it fitted to the car...
  4. Re: Creating a show car interior on a daily driver

    Great job!
Had a very similar interior job on a new (to me) work-ute not long ago.
Unfortunately didn't grab as many pics as you...
Anyway it's bloody hard work, especially some of those tighter...

Sorry but I'm going to have to report this thread for pornography...
    That thing is BEAUTIFUL!
  8. Re: Would You Like Some Swirls And Scratches With Your New FPV Sir ?

Nice work & great write-up Dr Buff...
Tough car too even though I'm not a big Ford fan.

    Re: Serious Inquiry

    That's the attitude mate!
When I wanted to start my apprenticeship as a motor mechanic I done the same thing, visiting all the high-performance shops & offering 2 weeks free labour for a chance to...

Re: megs apc vs super degreaser

KillaCam, SD is a perfect tyre cleaner @ 4:1 & once you have it you will find other uses for it (great for oil stains on concrete...)
    Destroys APC @ 4:1...
  11. Re: Best product to clean tires so you can apply tire shine

Have you tried a strong cleaner (undiluted APC, Tufshine, degreaser) & a stiff brush until you get clean white foam?
Should fix the problem although it's only ever temporary.

    I use Megs super...

Re: best way washing really dirty car?

I don't always rinse before foaming (although it doesn't hurt) but I always rinse after foaming, before bucket washing the car.
My reasoning is I am using the foam to loosen & soften any stubborn...

Re: CCS Euro Foam Polish Applicators

Have used the orange hand-pad to remove a small area of paint transfer & it worked great. I wouldn't like to polish a whole car with them but I wouldn't want to polish a car by hand full stop......
  14. Re: Thinking of wet sanding my whole car - advice wanted

Good choice. If the DA won't cut it you could always pick up a $60 rotary from SCA. More dangerous for your paint than a DA but a lot safer than sanding...
You may get better results using the wool...

Re: Unbelievably excellent Cleaner! (Long Read)

Just FYI, there is a member on here, Mr Megane(?), who I think is a legit chemist. If you're not 100% confident what to use as a cutting agent it may be worth asking for an opinion...

They start at around $150 delivered from eBay for a reasonable unit. Although IMO even with this you are taking a risk.

My honest advice would be to only attempt this if...

    Re: Collinite 845 as protection

davidc, I haven't used 601/105 but I wouldn't worry about 845 not coping with the heat.
It was actually originally designed for high heat industrial applications

Re: Anti foaming agents can I harm anything

Or as suggested use a rinseless...
