I work for GM and they have certainly turned there Buick line around. They are no longer targeting the older audience and styling there vehicles more aggressively to attract the younger 20-40...
The cheaper the car, in this case an entry cobalt, the lower quality paint and clear jobs. Unfortunately you see this a lot in Florida with the horrible UV rays and constant sunshine.

Ford has really stepped it up on their paint colors. They have some sick looking blacks with loads of metallic flake and apparently this deep maroon color as well. NICE JOB!
WOW. If I saw the before shots before I was buying it I would have stayed clear. I have a theory that if you can't keep you car clean, the car probably isn't kept up the best maintenance wise.
That stinks that you weren't able to perfect it at the time. The afters still show some defects, but much better than before. Don't forget to post pics of the correction!
