    Removing Zaino Z-5

Need to remove it to do some correction. Should I just let the polish remove it(fear gunking up the pads) or would a spray down of 50/50 IPA/water help? Don't want to go a paint cleaner route.

    Re: Curves and creases SUCK!

Car was delivered in January. By rail to Jersey, sat there covered in snow for a couple weeks, then trucked to the dealer, where it was for a week and a half. All that wiping snow off it left some...

    Curves and creases SUCK!

Have spent the better part of the week doing a full swirl remover/polish on my 2011 CTS-V Coupe(only an hour or so each night. Damn work LOL). Really my first bigtime detail. Washed it, clayed it,...

Re: 2000 Camaro Paint needs help again

I'd wash with Dawn, then clay it. That should remove everything, plus give you a nice, smooooooth surface.

    Swirl remover on tailights?

I know it will remove any light scratches and swirls, but is there any detriment? I know the heat from a polisher would be bad on plastic, but outside of that...?

First test spot w/Griots ROP and WG Twins

My CTS-V Coupe has some light swirls that I plan on tackling, but figured I'd get comfortable with the new buffer and Wolfgang twins on my wife's VERY swirly 2008 Equinox. Did a 18 x 18 test spot....
  11. Product/how to remove scratches from tail lights

What's a good product to remove fine scratches from colored tail lights? And the best way to go about it with that product.

    Thanks!
  12. Re: New 2011 Caddy CTS-V Coupe light swirl removal

Ok, just washed the car. Almost 50 degrees today, so lucky, as snow will be here this week (AGAIN).

Anyway, car was nor prepped per my instructions. The car was inside overnight, but they put it...
  13. Re: New 2011 Caddy CTS-V Coupe light swirl removal

Thanks guys! Will go with the 5.5 pads.

Also, for light scratches on the plastic "V" spoiler, what is the best?
  14. Re: New 2011 Caddy CTS-V Coupe light swirl removal

I considered that, but thought the extra cushion afforded by the 6.5 might be a safer bet, first time out. The PC and the 6.5 might take slightly longer, but still get the job done, correct?
  15. New 2011 Caddy CTS-V Coupe light swirl removal

Hi all. Just joined up. Hoping for good direction in paint correction on my new car. Car spent about a week and a half on the dealer lot. Snowed A LOT, and looks like from them removing the snow a...
