    i polish my pool balls occasionally with ultimate polish or whatever available if it is of similar material (polyester resin) it will work.. some bowling ball are matte i dont know about that.

    Are you using it with the flow restrictor supplied ? The water need to be in contact with the resin for a good flow time to be effective. If it flows out too quickly the filter may not work...

    Water usage is better off with DI..you get everything that went in the filters. RO wastes 90% water going in if you are billed and going traditional wash i dont see how you cope with the water costs....

    pH and hardness are two different things. pH measures from 1-14, hardness measures by ppm. water above 20 ppm are considered "hard" for detailing.

    You'd get better foaming/cleaning...
