    Re: Hard / Medium / Soft - Paint ???

Thanks for clearing things for me. I guess I've heard white paint was added titanium

    Re: Hard / Medium / Soft - Paint ???

I can understand UC as it is less abrasive than the other two but you mention M101 too. Isn't M101 as abrasive as M105, and remove as much in the inexperienced hands? Don't get me wrong, I did the...

    Re: D151 Pad Choice

Is there a possibility that d151 can leave holograms behind and cover these marks until the protective layer vanishes by time or cleaned by a solvent? I've seen some videos people using wool plus...

    Re: 2nd Buffer?

Why not getting a rotary as the second machine? You can compound using the rotary and finish with the DA, of DA by itself isn't enough for the job.

    Re: Lake Country Pad Question

Don't they trap fresh compound and prevent it broken down into finer particles? I guess they would be better with SMAT polishes and AIO sealants etc.

    Re: Sonax Carnauba Wax

Well, I haven't touched it yet but there is one in the mail. The reviews I could find address that this is an easy wax to use, has decent durability although nowhere near a Collinite but around 2-3...

Re: Whats your favorite car shampoo?

And thanks for that. I'm buying a bottle of Hydro Wash for the first thing I order from the UK.

    Re: 1Z Einszett Glanz Shampoo?

Would like to confirm if we really can use Perls shampoo as a waterless wash, and how. Thanks.

Re: Whats your favorite car shampoo?

Ok, it says no polymers in descriptions so I stand corrected at this point.

On another forum I found a description for Hydro Wash given by Prima itself:

"Hydro Wash was designed specifically to...

Re: Whats your favorite car shampoo?

Have anyone tried Prima Hydro Wash as a maintenance shampoo? They say it's a fabulous one but its manufacturer says it may strip waxes and put its own polymers.

    Re: Positive Meguiars Experience

I always loved the way Meguiar's products work. They are easy and usually focus only on what a customer would ask for. Like my experience with Nxt2.0 wax. It wasn't that long lived in durability...

    Re: Collonite Marine waxes

Aren't they really the same formulas as their automobile waxes? Like Fleetwax Paste Wax is the same as 476s.

Re: Misting Your Pads With Water

Water usually cuts through the lacking lubrication in a drying compoud and the abrasive particles run more un-buffered. This results more cut with a cutting compound, while may result to lower...

    Re: Sun/Heat Safe Products

Megs NXT2.0 worked out great last time I used. But must add Mark-V Dazzle. It went on and off butter smooth on a bright, sunny day. While Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine went concrete at and instance.

Re: What do you do with old foam polisher pads?

They make nice and safe Frisbees for kids :) Or I cut them into four and use them to apply trim or tire dressings.

You can always stick the backing back on a not totally spent pad, though. A...

Re: Dodo Juice Tyromania Review - TLC Auto Detail

I used a trim safe carnauba wax on the wheels this week and although it wasn't built solely for tyres it left a really natural look on them. I feel confident that I'll love this paste too if I get it...
  17. Re: Best finishing polish I've ever used on soft paint..

I can't find the cleaner in local rep's list but have those #1, #2 and #3 waxes instead. So which AIO do you think this cleaner matches in cleaning and correction would you say?
  18. Re: Best finishing polish I've ever used on soft paint..

The definition says it fills with nano particles and this can mask the holograms hugely. Have you stripped the fillers for inspection?
  19. Re: Are boat products different than automotive stuff?

    Thanks for the replies.

I know, I've met some questions on the same topic before, but many were asking if their car wax would work on their boat. I found a test on boat sealants and some sealants...

Re: Dodo Juice Tyromania Review - TLC Auto Detail

Nice reviews. I may order a pot of this. I applied a shiny dressing yesterday and my car looks cheap to me today. Shiny doesn't fit my daily driver.
  21. Are boat products different than automotive stuff?

I know Collinite relabel their durable waxes like 476 also in the boaters world, under different numbers. And there are some paint safe boat sealants make me think if they could also be applied on a...

Re: anyone used the prima hydroseal yet?

As I understand, it doesn't like oily products or even wax from a shampoo used under it. I bought DJ Supernatural Shampoo to use prior HydroSeal but still will probably follow the Amigo + Epic + HS...

Re: Reattaching backing to foam pads???

I used some contact adhesive on my pads and they seem to keep well. I think spray trim adhesives should work ok too. Maybe something with high heat resistance may pay off. Like this one seems to be a...

Re: anyone used sonax high speed spray wax

Used it once. I weren't into detailing this much and this stuff was a good step above wash&wax stuff. I were surprised how it disappeared into the paint and leave deep colors and a nice silky shine...
