I was a big fan of this product when it was still around. New stuff, not so much. I was told by the inventor that there was no benefit to layering so I wouldn't use two coats. Better to just...
You and Dani always do top notch work and your posts are interesting and informative. Everyone should know that here in Arizona, it's often "Tarzan hot" so mobile detailers have to be tough. I've...
I have no experience with this specific system but my belief is "super duper" dealer applied paint protection is nothing more than a profit center for them. Most are garden variety sealants that...
As usual, superior work! I've seen some horrendous work at supposed high end dealerships so you can't assume that just because they sell expensive cars, they take proper care of expensive cars.
Try Duragloss Aquawax. I've used it on both coated and waxed cars and it is quite nice. Doesn't do much on a coated car but it does make any spots disappear with a swipe of a towel.
The "preferred" shops used by insurance companies count on business being funneled to them. Since the owner thinks your a rectum, I'd show him just how much by contacting the adjuster. You...
The book lists the speed 1300-3900 rpm but no specific speed assigned to the corresponding number on the wheel. It definitely has the Flex quality but I'm a little concerned with the side switch. ...
You are correct sir. It was Sam Colt who made men equal. I just like John Browning's designs better. Come to think of it, I'm fond of Gaston Glock too:dblthumb2:
Interesting that Optimum's new "improved" coating hasn't come up in this discussion. I guess 10cc of product that lasts 2 years isn't as attractive as it was thought to be? When Opticoat was...
Great job Marc! Now that it's in proper condition, you can enjoy the drive now. The OC on white makes for easy maintainence and while it is harder to make pop, it is really nice when done right as...
You've got to have shade at the very minimum. In the afternoon with a dark color, you can't dry fast enough, no matter the method, to not end up with a spotted mess.
I've found 105 to be pretty aggressive so I don't think the polish is the issue. Without knowing what else you have it's hard to suggest anything else.
I've actually done a single stage white Toyota along with several other vehicles. Zero difference as far as application and longevity remains to be seen but as yet, no degradation since Feberuary...
I wrote OPT to tell them of my disappointment with this move. They asked me to give the new stuff a try and I pointed out that I was content (thrilled even) with the 2.0 and that with a 2 year...
I've had an email exchange with Ronald Doyle (of OPT) in which he hinted that Gloss-Coat may last longer than 2 years. He said that it was an entirely new product and not a rebranding of OC 2.0...
I don't buy the confusion with the pro version. I can't buy pro and that's OK because I'm not a pro. I was perfectly happy with the performance of OC 2.0 which I successfully applied to 7 cars.

Sad news. I've done 6+ vehicles with superb results. I'm not interested in doing that kind of prep for something that lasts 2 years so I guess I'm no longer an OPT customer. There are just too...
No, you are not. I have yet to find a product in the line that does not live up to the advertised claims. Every one of my cars and most of my family's vehicles wear Opti-coat. I gargle with No...
