Poll: Re: Satin titanium or black wheels?

Yeah, definitely a huge difference in all aspects! Honda’s decision to go with 20’s on the Type R was purely marketing. That’s the trend with a lot of manufacturers... big/fashion wheels. What’s...

Poll: Re: Satin titanium or black wheels?

Sure did! Stock wheels are 29 lbs each. New ones are 18.1 lbs each. New lug nuts are titanium weighing in at 15.5 oz for all 20 compared to 3 lbs for all 20 of the stock lug nuts. Car definitely...

Poll: Re: Satin titanium or black wheels?

You make a good point about the wheel fads. Haven’t seen too many 24”+ wheels on crown vics and Escalades in a while. Hell, a lot of cars are coming stock with 20”+ wheels. The stock wheels on my car...

Poll: Re: Satin titanium or black wheels?

That’s my one concern with my color car and the satin titanium, is that it would look washed out.

Poll: Re: Satin titanium or black wheels?

Don’t get me wrong, I like black wheels on certain cars. I was all set to order another set of black wheels and then saw the satin titanium wheels on my color R and now here I am! Can’t make up my...

Poll: Re: Satin titanium or black wheels?

Yes, I agree 100% that it’s extremely hard to see the design of the wheel with black wheels. Lol it’s a lot of money to spend not to see the design of the wheel unless you’re a few feet away!

    Re: Protection for Xpel

Costly indeed! That why I was going to go with the Xpel sealant. The guy that installed it is an authorized Xpel installer. I was surprised when he told me he recommends Hydrosilex over the actual...

    Protection for Xpel

My wife and I both have Xpel Ultimate PPF film applied to our cars. I just received Cquartz Uk 3.0 to put on the non PPF parts of the car, so with that being said I also received Carpro Reload. When...

Re: To Essence or Not to Essence?

Thanks for the replies and suggestions! I think I'm just going to use my LC White foam pads and go for it! Or maybe purchase a couple LC green pads!

Re: To Essence or Not to Essence?

More along the lines as a finishing polish. I’ve read MF pads are the way to go with Essence. I’d be happy to use the pads I already have though!

To Essence or Not to Essence?

I bought Cquartz UK 3.0 and will be applying it to my car and my wife's car. I've always been a wax/sealant guy but decided to go the coating route. I went ahead and bought Essence as well and I've...

    Seat sweat protection

I traded in my '04 350Z for a '17 Honda Civic Type R. The Z had leather seats so I never worried about sweating in them. I could regularly clean and condition them and that was it. Move on to the...

I would not use V7. I did the same thing this past spring and it was like V7 removed the wax (845). It beaded for a day and that was it.

    Re: Are Nissan paints better?

I wouldn't go as far as to say it sucks. My car is my DD and isn't garaged. I removed I'd say about 98% of the swirls about 2 years ago and had to do a couple very minor touch ups with a light...
