  1. Re: Rinsing with Pressure Washer. Which is best adapter???

Thanks. That's what I needed to know. I felt like I was blow drying the car with some mist instead of a good rinse. I will look for something with a 4.5 or more orifice size. Thanks!
  2. Re: Rinsing with Pressure Washer. Which is best adapter???

Yes, bought the Hydro Cannon sold here.

No, I take it off and attach the adapter that came with the washer. I wonder if it would be better to just leave it on and turn off the foam dispenser. ...
  3. Re: Rinsing with Pressure Washer. Which is best adapter???

Right, I will take off the Hydro Cannon and put on the soap adapter that comes with it, but that is a very low pressure spray. It was meant to just spray soap solution . I just thought maybe...
  4. Re: Rinsing with Pressure Washer. Which is best adapter???

2.4 gpm. It got plenty of pressure. Problem is I feel like I have too much air pressure and not enough water coming out on the rinse.
  5. Re: Rinsing with Pressure Washer. Which is best adapter???

    Yes, sorry. 3000 psi.
  6. Rinsing with Pressure Washer. Which is best adapter???

So I did my first pressure wash and found my rinsing to be a little frustrating. I got a Simpson 300 psi pressure washer that came with 4 adapters. 15,25,40, and "soap". I found myself using the...

    Re: Pressure Washer...Which One

So the MTM works fine with the Cleanforce 1800? I just picked one up at Home Depot and wasn't sure if the MTM would work since it says the minimum requirements are 2 GPM and the Cleanforce is 1.5...
  8. Re: Brand New Car. Which of these products (sealants) to use first?

Great thanks. Sounds like a plan. I don't think of a new paint job needing cleaners, but I hear 105 is a good base protection. I always was wondering which of 105 or 111 would go on 1st.
  9. Brand New Car. Which of these products (sealants) to use first?

So I just bought a brand new 2013 BMW 550i and own the following products that I would consider sealants (but not sure) and wanted to know what I should apply first before waxing.

    Duragloss 105...

Re: Best way to remove Collinite 915 wax??

Thanks all. I see the two big mistakes I made. I haven't waxed my car in 3 months (please don't kick me off this forum) and put this on first. I will make sure to use it as a finishing wax next...

Best way to remove Collinite 915 wax??

Ok, I have finally popped the lid on a can of Collinite 915 Marque D' Elegance Wax and gave it a try. Instructions say to let it dry to a haze, which I did, but it was a BEAST to remove. I of...

How do you know when your pad is dead??

I have never seen a great answer to this one yet. Is there a sure way to know by looking at your pad when it's beyond it's usefulness? For example does an LC orange pad work fine until it starts...

Thanks. I definitely didn't get that memo in time. I will try again.

Re: Anyone use Griot's Best in Show wax?

It was not in direct sun. No claying or polishing recently. I had just done an ONR wash and it has been waxed 2 weeks prior. It was a warm day for sure which may have had something to do with it....

Anyone use Griot's Best in Show wax?

I tried Best in Show wax out the other day and used an Auto Glym foam hand pad to apply. I found it dried and hazed way too fast. It was drying as I was applying. Has anyone else had this...
  16. Re: Informal training or vids for Paintless Dent Repair

I just bought one of these dent hammers as well. You really need to get one of those lights with the lines to see the high spots after you pull out a dent. I gave it a try on a couple door dings...
  17. Re: Pro-Blend Bottle Proportioner? Do they work for anyone?

My bottle is now empty enough for it to work if I just pour it so the air pocket is at the top (leaving the tube completely in the air).

Maybe the secret is doing it that way so there is less...
  18. Pro-Blend Bottle Proportioner? Do they work for anyone?

I have had 2 of these and neither have worked. I just did an ONR wash and have the Pro-Blend attached on a 128 oz bottle. I squeeze 2 oz into the chamber and let the rest drain back down into the...

Is another wash after clay needed? Or only if you plan on polishing right after instead of compounding?

Re: what the hell is this??

Looks like a typical 10 yr old Honda that didn't get enough protection over the years. Our old 2001 Odyssey looked just like that.

When was it changed? I have a jar I got free for a bonus a year ago and was surprised how much I liked it.

    Re: Reapplying wax between details

At what point would you strip it all to do another full detail with sealant? I feel like I wax my car so often I have no idea when I would need to seal it again.

    Re: Surf City???

I went to 2 Walmarts today and got lucky to find 2 Auto Glyms for $10. Also picked up a hand applicator for $2.00. They also had Quixx Wax for $3, but I have too many waxes already, but am still...

Re: To glaze or not to glaze

I use Meg's #80 Speed Glaze and I don't know if I am using it in the right place, but I use it as my 2nd step after Ultimate Compound. It's kind of my alternate 105 / 205 combo since the cuts are...
