Re: Giving Away Some Buffing Pads!

    I like the tangerine hydros!
  2. Re: Cobra Supreme 530 Microfiber Why only one side usable

I have used both sides of my MF towels from multiple sources and never had any marring issues. Sure, the shorter nap side is better for removing polish, but it works just fine for other uses, such...

Re: Suggest a wash mit specifically for ONR.

I know I'm in the minority, but I use a sheepskin mitt with ONR. On the lower panels, I use a chenille mitt. I just feel the sheepskin is the softest, and when using ONR I want to reduce the risk...

    Re: Waxing Wheels?

Collinite 845 works incredibly well on wheels. Believe me, I know. Last winter was brutal and it my wheels looked perfect when I finally got to wash the wheels real well in the spring.

    Re: Finish Kare 1000p questions

It will stain trim. Be careful with it. I find it very finicky to use, but the results are great. Yes, be VERY thin with it. And two coats will give you best durability.

    I love the stuff,...

    Re: Collinite 845...ehhh

I'm sorry the OP had a bad experience but I love 845. It is the best on wheels. Really protects through a long salty, chemically winter. I applied to my paint in March and it's still going strong....

    Re: Wheel Sealants

Collinite 845 works amazingly well. I wasn't able to hand wash my car at all this past winter, and we had huge snows with lots of salt and chemicals on the road. When the weather finally broke and...

    Re: toughest sealant?

It's important to remember that durability and protection can be two different things. Zaino may hang around for a long time, but in my experience it does not provide as much protection as many...

Re: Is there anything for faded plastic?

Gtechniq makes a product called C4 that's a permanent trim restorer. It is supposed to work amazingly well. You have to get it from their site in the UK. I have not used it personally, but I have...

Re: Need help with polish choice

Menzerna Power Finish is a very good one step polish. They recommend if you have a very dark color, you should step down to something like Menz 85RD. I used Power Finish on my black car today and...

I have an 09 Miata and today was able to remove most swirling with a Lake Country Hydrotech tangerine pad and Menzerna Power Finish polish.

Re: Help removing polish from black trim

Try Klasse AIO. It took month old FK1000P residue off the textured plastic black trim around my side mirrors with ease.

Re: What's a good car wash soap to use ?

Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Glow is my favorite right now. You have to follow the directions on how much to use because it is strong. I use just one capful in my bucket and that is plenty - lots of...

    Re: Ultimate compound on headlights?

Thanks for the tip, ziggo. I'll try the UC first since I've already bought it and see how it goes. But if that doesn't work, sounds like the Meguiar's kit would be worth a try.

    Re: Ultimate compound on headlights?

Thanks kronos. I just tried to get a couple pics. They don't show it all that well. It's not as bad as I remembered, but there is some cloudiness, especially at the tops of the headlights. I'm...

    Ultimate compound on headlights?

    Hey folks,

My mother has a 2000 Accord with some really cloudy headlights. I just ordered some Meg's Ultimate Compound and was wondering if it can be used on plastic headlights to restore them. ...

    Re: what's your winter LSP???

I am trying out FK1000P this winter. I've already got one coat on and plan to add another when I can. Looks like a cold rainy weekend, so maybe next weekend....

Re: Quick detailers, what are the favorites and why?

My favorites are FK425 and ClearKote QuikShine. 425 has nice anti-static properties which do actually help keep your car from being a dust magnet. It's also very slick and adds some gloss. ...

Re: The One Product You Couldn't Detail Without

Lowe's Proline Grout Sponge. It's so soft and rinses so clean. I love how the color makes it easy to see if there's anything on it contaminating it. Plus, it holds lots of water/suds/soap. I...

    Re: Removing tough waterspots

I usually try clay first, then vinegar. If those don't get them, try Klasse AIO. If they aren't etched in, AIO will remove them. If they are etched and it's just a few and your car isn't covered...
