I think that if the glass clay is going to create scratches, then its not worth any savings. That's just my opinion. How much cheaper is the stuff, really?

Glass is pretty darn hard to scratch, unlike paint. I would try it on one of your home windows in a place you might not notice. Chances are windows by planters are already pretty bad near the bottoms.

I would imagine that glass clay is more abrasive, being that glass is harder to scratch. I haven't ever bought a "Glass Clay Bar" either but i would bet that is the case.

To keep it clean, i like to use some microfiber cleaner (i have pinnacle)! It really cleans it up good. I hate having dirty tools :(
