I did this successfully for about a year before closing down my business. In fact, I even posted here looking for some help with the work.
Charge what your work is worth, do a great job, take care...
When are you lookng to have done?
What coating are you wanting to go with. I can probably help.
Edit:
Nvm I see the coating options.
Ultimate compound would probably work great. On an orange LC pad. Don't see any reason not to use the highest speed on a DA.
Also, give M205 or a similar polish first and see how it responds.
Sounds like a good opportunity.
Single stage paint is so fun IMO.
Don't let it worry you and always do a test spot.
Im adding pressure washing (driveways, siding, etc) as a service starting in May. Any one have experience pricing these types of jobs out? Any other general tips?
Will probably only be doing one...
Good looking Benz. Im partial to white. My favorite color when cleaned up properly.
The Masters is a great event. I will be watching closely.
Have money on a few guys.
Jason Day
Justin Rose
And the most money on Matt Kuchar.
Should be a fun tournament.
Anthony is your man. (bates)
Give him a call and trust his advice.
Oh... and listen to Flash too!
Wow.
Very surprised the paint responded to 205 like that. Good for you and even better for them. Nice work.
Thanks for the review.
A bit confusing now that I have updated my company name but my forum name is still the old company info.
It was a pleasure to work on the Jetta and "talk shop" with...
If you are worried about diluting the spray wax, then "flood" the car before you spray the panels with spray wax.
Excuse the awful video quality but this it how I utilize a flooding to aid in...
Another vote for AquaWax.
The ease and benefit to using a spray wax as a drying aid make it hard to argue against using.
Its fun to get caught up in the hype of different detailing products. This is why we are on AGO. Most of us are all guilty of it at some point.
I have been using 845 for the past several years. ...
Thanks for all the responses. Called Carquest and they had some in stock. Perfect.
Have a flats boat to do tomorrow, should clean up nicely.
Picked up a last minute job tomorrow and would like to use DG501.
Obviously don't have time to order it, any ideas where I could buy locally? Boats store, auto parts store, etc.
Would like to apply it to this, a clients 52 Chevy Truck

Volume is right. They make a ton of money.
And you would be shocked how many people LOVE this service. They have a great ability to upsell things here and there.
I would imagine the employees...
Good choice Mark.
Big fan of the 335s, love the design. And BMW white, IMO, is the best white option available. Sounds funny, bc most people will say white is white, but something about BMW...
The easier answer is a coating. If you don't feel comfortable with that, I would say Collinite 845. I would still strongly suggest clay barring the roof, at minimum to ensure that any sealant/wax...
I don't see any reason to not have the speed set to 6, and nothing lower if you are looking to correct. IMO that machine is underpowered. Can it get the job done - yes of course, are their better...
If you are new to this, keep it simple. Offer three packages.
Wash - $25-40
Wash/Interior: $50-90
Wash/Wax/Interior: $125-200
Most clients don't want to hear about every little aspect...
What speed are you polishing at and what machine are you using.
Should be soft paint that will correct easily.
Killer job Anthony.
You are the expert in oversized detail jobs. Love that you have found a market in bringing buses back to life (and you have been for a while).
Hope all is well.
Interesting.
Write ups on 20+ hour paint corrections are great for the internet, and will get strangers to compliment you on your hard work.
But there is A TON of money to be made in quick...
Welcome.
I miss Pensacola. Great city, can't be the beaches. I go back every chance I get.
