**URGENT** Public Statement - Please Read

Just for your information, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police has advised me to issue a public statement that someone has been going around the Internet pretending to be me. The person is using my...

Re: Vanilla moose vs Meguiars 81 hand polish

    Hey,

Clearkote's Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze is very different than Meguiar's M81 Hand Polish. VMW is a cleaner wax that removes mild oxidation. It contains a fair amount of oils and a pretty...
  3. Re: *Review* Meguiar’s D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream

    Great explanation Al!! :)

I have used M20 since the mid 1980's and just love the stuff!! It has light cleaners and at the same time provides a blend of waxes and polymers for very long lasting...
  4. Re: *Review* Meguiar’s D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream

Yes you could but I prefer either M21 or M20. :)

  5. Re: *Review* Meguiar’s D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream

If I remember correctly, I believe I followed it with M21. I did test it as a wax without topping it on another vehicle and while it lasted a decent amount of time, I prefer to top it with M21 or M20...

LOLOL Yeah yeah.. :D Yep, that was April 2008!

I was asked if I could post it here as many people here do not visit MOL, and because it is such a good product, it would be shame if people here...

    Re: System One

    Hey,

I really like their Spray Wax. I can apply it in the sun and it leaves a really high gloss! I was actually quite surprised in how well it worked!! :)

    Re: *Review!* Optimum's Protectant Plus!!

Thanks! I am glad to be here!!! :)

I agree with you 100%!!! There are many excellent products out there and many I use are not Meguiar's!

I have not tried 1Z Cockpit but I will see if I find...

    Re: *Review!* Optimum's Protectant Plus!!

    ***Just a quick update!***

I have been monitoring the OPP very closely and I have been pleasantly surprised! The OPP does not seem to attract dust like other dressings! In the review I pointed...

Re: *Review!* Meguiar's New Soft Buff 2.0 Pads!!!

Thanks Kelly! I appreciate the kind words! :)

No, the new 2.0 pads are different as the old ones just use Velcro attached/glued to the pad. The new ones have a special laminate with the Velcro....

Re: *Review!* Meguiar's New Soft Buff 2.0 Pads!!!

Simply put, I do not know as I have never tried it. Again, being a rotary user, I rarely use the DA for paint correction in the first place.

Hopefully someone that has tried both could chime...

    Re: New Paint, Dumb Mistake!

I still encourage you to try and remove it first using a cleaner polish before turning to wet sanding or feather sanding. You may be surprised how easily the marring comes off of fresh paint.

    Re: New Paint, Dumb Mistake!

Good point. As long as a wax or sealant is not used however, you are good to go until it cures. Meguiar's makes a product, M80 Speed Glaze which contains a paintable polymer and a cleaner. So it will...

    Re: New Paint, Dumb Mistake!

You can feel it? Does it feel like a really flat dull type of paint or something else? Is your paint BC/CC?

    Re: New Paint, Dumb Mistake!

It appears that you have instilled marring where the Yakima racks have rubbed against your paint. Hopefully you have not gone through the clear coat to the base coat. If you have, there is not much...

Re: *Review!* Meguiar's New Soft Buff 2.0 Pads!!!

That is not what I am saying. :)

Ok, let's use an analogy. Let's say you have a 4x4 and you place big mud tires on it. As soon as you do, you lose power compared to the much smaller stock/OEM...

Re: *Review!* Meguiar's New Soft Buff 2.0 Pads!!!

    Very valid question!

One of the biggest issues with the DA as far as I am concerned is that too many people are trying to use the DA for more than it is capable of doing. For 80-90% of any detail...

    Re: rotary trouble

    Morning,

Let's start from the beginning with why rotary pads bounce at times...my comments are from personal experience from over the years of using a rotary polisher.

    Foam buffing pads have...
