  1. Re: Customer wants me to fix his broken window?

If the detailer displayed gross negligence and pushed down on the open window while it was cracked to clean the edge of the glass (which inturn caused one tooth to break) then maybe, but to see that...

  4. Re: Sonax wheel cleaner - user error or product failure?

To whoever used sonax as a tire cleaner.....its not a tire cleaner, thats why you have an APC.

Sonax can get the job done, but on those wheels you need something to remove the embedded baked on...
  5. Re: When did the GG polisher change from Professional to Amateur??

    Old:
    3-4 Wax
    5-6 Polish

    New:
    2-3 Wax
    4-5 Polish

Comparing the two, you would think maybe they bumped up the power needing less speed on the new unit, but comparing them side by side, 4.5...
  6. Re: When did the GG polisher change from Professional to Amateur??

When my polisher died last, i removed the brushes. This is after about 1.5 months polishing about 1-2 cars a week. (2 brushes to the right are old, left are brand new)

  7. When did the GG polisher change from Professional to Amateur??

Same as the title states. I originally purchased a 6" GG polisher back in November and clearly remember it saying on the polisher Professional Random Orbital with a polishing speed recommendation of...
  8. Re: PC7424 losing power/heating up/smelling

I have had 3 that all had cord failure. I just put a cord on one and am hoping thats all it will ever need.
  9. Re: Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer stock

Its in the detailer line because it wouldnt sell otc at say walmart if they offered gallon sizes in the consumer line. The "detailer" will use more of it thus need for it to be in the gallon size.

  10. Re: Autogeek wash bucket measurements are not even close...

Just out of curiosity, have you tried putting a wet wash mitt in and then taken a measurement?
  11. Re: Got my "Write a review and Win" goodie box!

I just wanted to update this thread and say thank you again. I was on a detail doing a 2011 Subaru STI in red and everything I was throwing at it was leaving pad abrasion (zAIO on a white pad, m205...

Re: Boooo price increase midnight sun

why do i have a feeling that the lineup for blackfire for this year hasnt been completely shown? Based on what meghan said, id guess that there might be a lower price point wax in the pipeline.
  13. Re: G110V2 cord replacement tutorial w/photos

Trust me, soap did help, but so did some strategic razor blade cutting. The replacement cord i used was significantly thicker thus it put much more pressure in places the thinner cord didnt. But i...
  14. Re: G110V2 cord replacement tutorial w/photos

i just re-corded an extra polisher with 14 gauge. My god, that is not a duty i want to have again. The cord strain I found was the hardest part.
  15. Re: PC7424 losing power/heating up/smelling

Its 50ft and its the most flexible and thickest orange extension cord I have, but to say its amp rating and gauge, i wouldnt know.
  16. Re: PC7424 losing power/heating up/smelling

Ive had 2 griots 6" polishers die in a similar fashion to what you are describing. To me, the smell is electrical, the polisher slows down, and yes it does heat up.

The only thing I am thinking...

  19. Re: Got my review goodie basket ( dont look if you want to be surprised)

I had to look, I cant wait to receive my goodie bag! :D

    Is that a chinchilla towel?
  20. Re: A Close Look at the New Chinchilla Microfiber Buffing Cloth

Out of curiosity, if you were to grab the center of the towel on both sides and pull, will the towel seperate in the middle? Some really fluffy towels I have seen seem to use 2 separate sheets that...
