old thread i stumbled on re: searching about opti-seal anyway, 10:1 d120 with 1/3 6-4:1 OID or 6:1 ONR with 1/3 OID will clean glass and give you that "gliding" effect to make interior glass...
no need to put anything after poli-seal imo...until the protection disappears. but that's me. i don't think it will hurt anything, but i think with opti-seal, because it's solvent-based, it will...
oops, meant to also say that you can do it with wash dilution ONR instead of the D120 but i find the D120 has more "bite" for certain residues that otherwise would definitely need 10:1 OPC prior to...
had to come back to this thread to double check my formula to make a new batch and figured i'd post that this stuff has been awesome over the past year. i did a new car prep today on a new Tacoma...
now i am getting private message emails too, for old private messages. today is the first day i'm experiencing it. i'm about to blacklist autogeek in my email. i feel back for you guys if this has...
hi - today i am randomly getting, in bunches, emails regarding replies to a thread that hasn't been active for a few weeks. this just started today. I had already received emails about these posts at...
in the vid with the DRCC guy and Mike P., they said you'd do it as the last step of a detail except coating or LSP, at least in those areas, since obv you want to keep the area free of anything that...
now that all my overhead lighting is done, i need to focus on storage. i am going to build an "L" shaped work bench in the nook i have off of one of the walls, but need to do cabinets. my first...
without knowing the car, paint situation (repaint, original, etc.), paint depth, if scratches catch nail, etc...i'd aim to reduce the appearance with compound and polish. blowing...
i do hot. or, as hot as the machine will let me. always have. it's not going to hurt them and the fast acting molecules of hot water will clean better. i have an old Kenmore 80 series that washes hot...
pre-wash and coating are both great ideas. i often feel a lot of what people do on this forum is fueled by paranoia but when it comes to rinseless, it can't hurt to be a little more cautious as you...
southern NJ. massive amounts of road treatments in this state since the various governing bodies LIVE to max out budgets in NJ. it's disgusting, actually.
i will update this and say i've been searching for info on how to make this gallon of 3D Citrus Degreaser useful. i mixed a bottle of 10:1 and used it to clean a bunch...
i have been using Optimum No Rinse for about eight years. now i use Megs D114, ONR or ONRWW (rarely). i don't use them all the time, but pretty often, esp. in the winter or if i am cleaning a vehicle...
nice! my wife uses a bottle of wash dilution ONR to dust w/ and the Megs D120 has worked out great around the house. she keeps it in a Windex bottle under the sink.
i tried it after reviewing the MSDS, seeing that it had some similarities in composition and didn't have some of the more offensive components that are in other APCs. unfortunately, it's not even...
i keep getting notifications of this thread because i posted in it at some point. so i figured i'll share this pic that i stumbled on in the Opti-Coat Russia group

you mean sheeting when flooding to dry? because i don't see it sheet very well in any other situation. it is definitely hydrophobic but it beads like a monster for me. i'm not mad at it for that.

it's different and less robust, so, a weaker overall product. i am taking that info from CarPro, not personal experience. def not meant to be used as a drying aid, though, that's for sure.
thanks. i agree that it's awesome and flexible but i end up using it everywhere, not just for detailing, and i mow through it. i use it in the house, in the garage - everywhere. if i could find...
i have been using OPC (Power Clean) for years, but, it's pretty expensive. but awesome. i tried an orange degreaser from another detailing brand and it was useless.
