    7.5" CCS Curved Egde/ 6.5" CCS

I typically rely on my 6.5" pads, as I go between my Metabo PE12-175 and my Flex VRG on a consistent basis. I was curious how many of you use the 7.5" CCS curved edge pads on a regular basis. I have...
  2. Re: Need Interior Help - Auto Geek Recommendation Destroyed my Buttons

Would be messy, but for this application, WD40 wouldn't strip the paint on the buttons, correct? From my experience removing stickers from tabletops at work with all I had at the time, WD40, it...

    Re: QD recommendation

Bingo, that's exactly how I try to deal with the situation. I've seen too many people screw up their paint with QD, even though they're far from being rough with the paint at all.

Re: First detail with new polisher

Yes, I know about those. That works great too, but you can typically pick up an LED light for less than 10 if you know what to shop for. Although, the new Surefire E2dLED is pretty sweet, but I don't...

    Re: QD recommendation

No, use the ONR as the quick detailer using a different dilution ratio.

Also, no, I just use ONR + P21S bodywork conditioning shampoo because of ONR's water softening ability. Great combination.

    Re: Detailed 05 Mustang GT

You know, I can't say that I like the wheels one bit, but the clean grill panel is an excellent addition.

    Re: QD recommendation

I highly recommend this option. Silicone free, that's my major requirement, and it works great.
  9. Re: 99 VW Passat, 110k hard miles...advice PLEASE!

Find a quality, acid-free, aluminum safe wheel cleaning gel. Let it dwell per the directions before rinsing. Then, reapply, agitate, especially in those hard to reach areas, and rinse. After you've...

Re: First detail with new polisher

Yea, you don't need much. Most people rely only on halogens, but that's only halfway there, because you can't pick up fine holograms with them. Pick up a high intensity LED flashlight, it will work...

Re: First detail with new polisher

Direct sun shots and high intensity LED light reflections would be nice.

    Re: body shop issues

A proper paint is a proper paint, this obviously isn't remotely up to par, and you could probably even convince a non-car-person from a credit card company or insurance company this if it's as bad as...

Re: Spy Photos of New Polisher!

I've had mine since release, used frequently for business, zero problems. Practically my main machine since my purchase, on par with my Metabo PE12-175 in terms of usage.

    Re: Heyo From Socal

Menzerna polishes are my favorites by far, with the exception of power gloss. Yet, with a random orbital or the Flex forced rotation random orbital hybrid, I wouldn't recommend using heavier...
