  1. Re: Please give your best coating application tips…

I'm in the Gyeon camp. It can't get any easier and the results are top notch. Give Mohs a try on a vehicle and see how you like it.

    Re: Touch-Less v2 First Impression

The reviews I’ve watched say that 1%PIR is the sweet spot. It’s has about the same cleaning power as 2% but may be a bit kinder to your LSP.

But is it farm dirt? This dirt has a unique proprietary blend of different soils and animal droppings.

    Re: Touch-Less v2 First Impression

The LSP it had on it was farm dirt. As I was told, it hadn't seen soap in years.

    Touch-Less v2 First Impression

This is nothing in depth. I finally got my hands on a dirty vehicle and decided to crack open my new bottle. You must excuse the shaky camera work. I was in a hurry and didn't use my tripod. I also...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I think I might need an intervention. I believe I’m becoming addicted to cleaning cars.

This is the old truck that the Silverado I posted earlier is replacing. The owner decided to go and visit a...

That is a lot of tree sperm.

About how many times a week do you have to wash your cars? I can tolerate some pollen but that is insane.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

    Great point.

The last person I used this coating on drove a brand new M550 that was damn near six figures. In the course of a year he washed it all of zero times and when he finally called me...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Finished a big one. The resource officer at my school just got a new to him truck. It’s a 2012 Silverado Texas Edition and he talked about this truck the way a dad talks about his first born son. He...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

She admitted that it was in a state of dismay. I just refuse to work for pennies on a job that will take hours out of my day. Time is money and if you don’t have the money I don’t have the time.

  12. Re: Final wipe down before ceramic coating

it doesn’t take a lot. I start with a few sprays on my towel and then a couple of sprays per panel. You should easily be able to do multiple cars with s small bottle of Gyeon Prep.

    Re: Bilt Hamber Distribution

Will share as soon as I get a chance to test it on a worthy vehicle.
  14. Re: Final wipe down before ceramic coating

Go with Eraser or Gyeon Prep. It’s better to use something tailored specifically for your current need instead of some unproven DIY mix.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I got turned down for a job. A neighbor wanted her filthy (her word choice, not mine) Escape cleaned and I shot her what I thought was a fair price. She never responded. I'm sad now. I'm going to my...

    Re: Ceramic maintenance spray

Before you jump the gun and start buying new products give it a good washing and hit it with a hose or pressure washer and see the hydrophobics. Making sure the coating is still there would be my...
  18. Re: what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

The real reason I don't do interiors, except occasionally, is because the people that have the worst cars are willing to pay the least to get them cleaned. Time is money and if they don't have the...
  19. Re: Done with Gyeon products and probably ceramic coatings

This is exactly my routine. I used to top with a sealant because that's what I believed you're supposed to do but now I occasionally use Gyeon Ceramic Detailer as a drying aid. I've got two bottles...
  20. Re: Done with Gyeon products and probably ceramic coatings

It's odd. I'm very upfront with customers about the longevity of a coating, what it does and doesn't do, and how to maintain it which is not difficult. I've said it on here many times before. As part...
  21. Re: what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

Where's the fun in that? The transformation from ugly duckling to a beautiful, 4 wheeled swan is what it's all about. As long as the customer is willing to pay, I'll gladly work on a hammered filthy...

  24. Re: what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

I have a love/hate relationship with his content. I think he has a lot of good tips and practical advice but like other YTubers, I lose interest once they become product pushers.

  25. Re: what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

You’re right……………..again. And it does come in a pretty box. It’s all about that unpacking experience that makes or breaks a coating.

Did I mention the $40 prep polish you need to use as well? ...
