    Re: yay! ANOTHER Wax thread!

Duragloss Aquawax in the gallon container is a great value.

Re: Infamous M105/M205 combo; why do I need M105?

Excellent point. I have not tried M105 on very hard paint yet.

    Cheers

OK so here I go beating the dead horse again...why do you need 105?

Re: Infamous M105/M205 combo; why do I need M105?

    I understand...and I'm not faulting Meguiar's at all regarding marketing/etc. I think they've marketed both products well.

I am specifically talking about detailers that push the combo and I...

Re: Infamous M105/M205 combo; why do I need M105?

LOL...you are correct! I just checked my bottle.

However, other advertisments for the product claim 2000 grit scratch removal (I thought I was going crazy there for a second, see below) and like...

Infamous M105/M205 combo; why do I need M105?

After reading lots of great feedback on Meguiar's M205, I picked up a bottle to try. I found M205 cuts and finishes well, dusts very little (almost zero) and wipes off easily. Clean up is easy. It...

    Re: System One

    That's not a surprise. S1 (like M95 and M105) is not a diminishing abrasive polish...it doesn't break down!

    Re: can you say overspray!!

Funny that when AG was selling this stuff, there was mostly good press about it...and from reputable people too (like Toto) right here on this site. Toto even polished his rental car with S1 at DF...

    Re: System One

Depending on the softness of the paint, you may end up with swirlies with the rotary and S1. Check it in the sun, and if you have swirlies, hit it with a soft pad and the PC and you will be good to...

    Re: can you say overspray!!

Right...even though you said you've never used S1, 105 would surely be better!

    Here is that post.

The guy seems to be getting good results and you are trying to say something is better...

    Re: can you say overspray!!

Did you try very aggressive clay or the fine stuff? I doubt the fine stuff would do you much good.

    Re: System One

How can you say Poorboy's blows away S1 if you've never used S1?

BTW, I've heard good things about Poorboys...so I'm not trying to diss them. Just seems like people love to bash S1! Frequently,...

    Re: NEW! System One!!!

I haven't used Optimum polish, but their claims are very similar to that of SystemOne. SystemOne can take out deeper scratches (like down to 1000 grit), but for most of us, including me, that doesn't...

    Re: Software to upload pics?

For many cameras, all you need is the 'Scanner and Camera' wizard which pops up as an option under Windows XP when you hook up your camera via USB (for transferring pics to your PC, not for editing)....

Re: Tom Horvath Owner SYSTEM ONE

BTW you can't feel the abrasives in ScratchX? That's stuff is gritty, and it shows in the paint big time by hazing it up.

Re: Tom Horvath Owner SYSTEM ONE

Roger that...but just don't let conventional wisdom tell you that a product can't work and keep you from trying it.

Diminishing abrasives have been preached as 'the best and only way' for years...

Re: Tom Horvath Owner SYSTEM ONE

I'm not asking you to buy anything. I was originally responding to the statement about 'all polishes break down' then I got off on a tangent about particle size because the poster said polish 'had'...
