So I grabbed a couple of these and haven’t used yet. They seem great but I feel like they would also make nice cloths for quick detailers etc?
Kinda small for drying compared to my massive waffle...
None of some of it. All of most of it.

Collinite on one IGL ceramic on the other.

Humans. The interwebs. The google machine.
But why? If a ceramics protect so well then they should EASILY protect from a light flick of a microfiber duster...?
That’s the core of the question I’m asking.
I have no dog in the fight....
Oh I get all that.
I’m just wondering if anyone who believes that coatings can protect from micro scratches uses a car brush.
Following that logic a California duster should be absolutely no...
Interesting. So do you use a car duster?

Agreed but if a coating can protect from even light swipes from a tree branch as some claim, it should be able to protect from a light touch from a microfiber brush...
Methinks you are the only one taking it seriously LOL
So then dusters scratch ceramic coated cars.

Ok. So I recognize that touching your car is almost always worse than not touching your car. And putting anything dry against a dry car is the worst...
BUT...
I hear all of this “9H! 10H! Even...
What’s the difference between a sealant and a ceramic?
Yep. Just wait for it to get dirty, wash, then as a final step use a high silica content QD or sealer. Easy.
In wash mine in the normal wash. A micro fiber shouldn’t get really dirty from washing...
So out of the gate you see sealants (I assume you mean ceramic sealants) and wax as both wet and warm.
But then the maintenance sprays (high silicone content vs high wax) turns the wet looking...
Oh I agree. But a ceramic doesn’t mean you still don’t need to wash, clean, detail etc. Hell, tires and rims can sometimes be a whole afternoon lol
You generally seeing a ‘warmer’ look with wax and a glass/wet look with ceramics?
Spoiler alert: all of them except for the few remaining ancient wax based ones lol
Agreed. If you like more work. Wax is for you. :-)
Money maybe. Not time. You’ll have to wax every 3-6 months at a minimum to have the same level of protection.
My car is coated with IGL ceramic. I certainly don’t want to strip that off. I want to layer on top of it....
So...wash, dry, premier? It was just applied last week.
So wash dry AND use the precoat?
If I wash it and use enhancer as a drying aid does that mean I CANT then apply premier once it’s dry?
Thanks. The bottle says to use precoat or eco clean to prep the surface first?
I got an IGL coating on my car and a couple of bottles of premier and enhancer. I’ve been using the enhancer for a QD. What exactly should I be using the premier for? And can I use it OVER a vehicle...
Looks similar but not the same. Here are mine https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200406/f2d99fca6ce12c2b56e37605e30692d8.jpg
