    Perhaps dilute a bit with some distilled water. And always use a clean microfiber to wipe.

    I don’t always use soap, but when I do I use Meguiars Gold Class. Normally I will just rinse less wash with ONR.

    I use Meguiars Hyper Dressing 4:1, leaves a nice natural shine, not too blingy like a kid who just discovered tire dressing :)

    The Pro HD (purple version) of Simple Green which I’m using has a ph of 10-11.5 undiluted. It’s like Simple Green on steroids. Yet safe for metal, rubber, plastics, etc.

    I’ve used it as well as Complete Compound. It does what it says. Removes light swirls and polishes the paint.

    Perhaps use it with a black griots finishing pad with two or three section passes...

    Right. The larger number is always the water in auto detailing. 3 parts water to 1 part solution.

    & Tire cleaner diluted 3:1

    I bet that black is from the black plastic trim piece. I would tape that up before trying to polish the pillar.
