Thanks for your suggestions. In my case it was a bit hard to remove the white stains, I had to scrub a bit. I will try next time to re-apply another layer on top.

you made me think further ... the front of the hood where the grills are was dented, so they fixed it, but i dont think they would have repainted the whole hood, nor would they have applied new layer...
