I use mf bonnets on top of my 6" edge pads all the time. Works great. Undoubtedly the easiest way to get the majority off. Usually just use it after polishing though. Prefer by hand for the wax.
I've yet to polish a re painted vehicle, and it just makes me nervous when people start telling me the type of paint used. I've got a restored beetle to polish this weekend painted with polyurethane...
I own the whole gammit of edge pads and I don't like the orange one. Seems to be the stiffest of them all, yet claimed to be middle of the road for cutting. I go straight to the green for cutting. ...
Are any of you watching this? Live on Discovery HD theater. The Mecum muscle car auction. HD rocks! These paint/polish jobs are incredible, not to mention the cars. Check out turbo.com.
I'm starting to get better at this. Our CX-7 was starting to show some spider webbing from the winter. My wife told me not to go near her car with "that thing" (the Makita Rotary) after I burned a...
Well, it's snowing again, and I'm bored. But Spring is right around the corner and my baby needs a cleanin'. This is my pride and joy. A custom built, by me, Fetish Cycles "Seduction" no pivot,...
This past Thursday, some friends and I got to play hockey on NHL ice! First, we got to watch the Avalanche destroy Edmonton from club level seats, then we hit the ice ourselves! It was "Old Style"...
I was using an orange Edge pad. They are all I own. Very nice because they work on my PC or rotary in a click. The main problem was that the edge of the Edge pad was dry, spinning at 1200 rpms and...
That "This Blow's" thread from earlier got me thinking. What, in your opinion, is the best car chase scene ever? - Don't ask me how a drunk driver hitting a parked car leads to this - There are so...
:iagree: the PC is for polishing, minor correcting. Gonna need some polishes. You can certainly use your PC for applying waxes or sealants, but it's usually easier and more thorough if you do it by...
So the weather forecast didn't show any snow for at least five days... finally! I bought a Makita rotary this winter and decided to give it a shot on my '05 Ranger. I began with an Edge orange pad...
I'm a huge NHL (AV'S) fan, and a player myself. I'll be watching if I'm awake! No, I doubt 70k will be in attendance, but it's good for the league. I was wondering myself if this one was going...
I've been using a PC for about a year now and haven't really noticed much difference in pad selection. In fact, aside from incredible gloss, I haven't noticed much correction capability at all with...
So, what did everyone get for X-Mas? These are pretty much a gift for myself, but the camera I took the pic with is new! Opened up a new Canon EOS digital Rebel XTI (400D) yesterday morning. Can't...
just another option for you... Crytal-glo acrylic. They too make the scratch resistant claim. Not sure if there's any subtance to that, but I can tell you that you can actually "feel" the...
Not to be negative, just a thought... I used to hang all my sprayers around a rubbermaid tub a lot like that. Then I ordered some DP interior cleaner in what appears to be the exact same sprayer...
Wifeys CX-7 BOSE edition under S100. This color is beautiful, but not much sun today. Getting some souveran now that it's on sale, and will get some good pics soon.
The follow up to the Z3. Same process, except I used Adam's fine machine polish to finish. Interior was a bear, pet hair and slobber everywhere. Lexol cleaner and conditioner on the leather. Pics...
A BMW Z3, hammered front end and interior and a PT Cruiser with pet hair all over... So, too many pics to put both up so I'll have to make another for the PT. Any way, don't have very much AG stuff...
