  1. Re: Underrated/Overlooked: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating

Yeah, I wonder how much they could've decreased the cost eliminating some of the components in the kit and making it like cancoat. Looks like they tried to package the kit for an average consumer but...

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

For DIY rinseless users, does it foam up when you agitate it with water? N914 does that when I top off the bucket or add water for any reasons after it's in the solution. A bit annoying because I...

Seems like they are out of touch with their marketing nowadays.

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

Yeah, 16oz is way too small if you're using it often. I always end up buying a gallon if I like the product. Not only economical but easier to stock in my cabinet. I put stuff that needs be diluted...
  5. Re: How are spray and rinse sealants like HydrO2 legal?

Interesting find. As someone who lives near the ocean and is surfing in it multiple times a week that's something to consider. Probably not as bad as my neighbor that likes to throw his cigarette...

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

Just an OCD kind of thing. Minimize contamination and more efficient. I use 1 bucket and multiple mitts for contact washes as well. ~6 folded MF towels is enough for rinseless washes on my cars but...

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

I want to try them both but will probably start with the 32oz Absolute. I've used Ultima and Wolfgang in the past as well. They all work well enough for my use but N914 has been my favorite to date....

    Re: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating-Discontinued?

I'm hoping it will last ~6 months here in Southern California. I'd be okay with a bi-annual deep clean and recoat, especially if I can approach it like a spray on wipe off product.

    I've...

    Re: Rinseless Washes - 2022

Great thread. About to finish my gallon of N914 so I'm looking at trying something new. Looks like either DIY or Absolute. I always liked how ONR wiped (slick) but N914 cleans a bit better. I use the...

    Re: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating-Discontinued?

I figured. How long did it hold up? Seems pretty easy to apply and hard to get high spots which would be a plus for recoating more intricate wheels more often.
  12. Re: Anyone in So Cal interested as a product tester for a new coating

Oops, just noticed that and also the contact info in the YouTube video.

    Re: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating-Discontinued?

I plan to try it out this weekend and may pick up a few kits to hold onto if it goes well. MK was impressed with them on wheels and I'm interested in seeing how well it performs on them. As well as...

    Re: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating-Discontinued?

Saw that Markus Kleis say on one of his HPC videos that this is discontinued. Seems like those that have used both prefer HPC to cancoat. Meguiars surely bombed on marketing HPC if that’s the case.
  17. Re: Underrated/Overlooked: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating

Suntek Ultra has some kind of topcoat that is supposed to be stain resistant and hydrophobic. I’ve had mine for almost 4 years and it’s still in great condition but I wouldn’t know how the topcoat...
  18. Re: Underrated/Overlooked: Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Coating

Bump to keep this thread alive. I'm curious about this stuff too. Grabbed it for under $30 locally and thinking of using it on my wife's daily that sits outside. It's coated with mckee's coating but...

Whats your favorite / go to interior detailer?

I think it’s perfect for a car that stays pretty clean. Leaves a matte finish, some protection and comes off screens/mirrors/glass easily. Spray and wipe with microfiber; Quik interior detailer is a...

Re: Review: Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Rinseless Wash

Definitely preferable to clean with something that doesn’t leave anything behind if you’re prepping the paint. But I’m pretty sure any prep spray will strip it off easily. The protection is pretty...

Nice. With such a low TDS you have a lot of options. Did you see their (aquatic life) spot free DI setup?

    Re: Tire brush recommendation

I need to get some carpet brush attachments for my drill. It’d definitely speed up cleaning carpets and upholstery. Not sure if it would be any faster for my tires but I’d give it a try. Anyone...

Re: DI for rinse or not

I built my wall mounted DI system (2x 10x4.5” filters) for under $200 including 5lbs of resin. At 28 ppm the resin would last really really long if you’re only using it for a final rinse. But have...

    CarPro Eraser Residue!?

If the marring couldn’t be induced with the towel then it shouldn’t be the wipe causing it? So does that mean the essence was just filling/covering defects that weren’t removed during the correction?...
