I will check with an expert I know but Meg's 105 has the same aluminium oxide as 3M Finesse It and I think the naphta is chosen to leave at one exact moment since the haze clears up pretty fast at a...

    Re: after winter--light polish

If the guy using 205 had a wool pad it will explain why he got the swirls removed. Wool works like a charm with polishes as well as compounds and we all know CC's are different.

    I have used the...
  4. Re: How to store your pads, so you don't get this?

APC is an alcaline solution with pH around 10-11. It's a degreaser by pH so it's no wonder that it solves fat.

    Re: Rotary

The Makita starts at 600 RPM which a grinder won't. I have tried to persuade them to drop the RPM down to 300 for starters but no luck so far. Great machine though.

    Sweden makes a comeback

    Hi Friends.

I have been away for a year or two taking care of business. Still working for the BMW and Mazda dealership in town, still learning, still developing.

  8. Re: What are your thoughts on wet sanding factory paint?

A new 3000 grit wetsand disc will cut 4 microns of the paint the first lap it makes on the paint and then less and less. There should be little worries sanding a factory paint if necessary that is.
  9. Re: Hologram Removal on a Black 2006 BMW X5 - Rasky's Auto Detailing

Nothing beats the triple stage job, man. I work for BMW car dealership and had a car like that left the detailing area with holograms I'd kicked somebodys ass. Good job!

    Re: Advanced Detailing:BMW 135i

It all comes down to be able to get paid. I live in Sweden and here the average detailer don't have any education in chemicals. They kind of set the agenda för the rest of the market, some products I...

    Re: Mix 105 with Poli-Seal?

dublifecrisis-IPA should not eat the paint sealant chemically unless the sealant is IPA based. Clay will remove it though. Another thing-IPA wipe down will not remove all of the compound/polish...

    Re: 1 Step Product?

You would like a product with 40-60% cut and a smooth finish. Major point is to work the product until all the various aluminium oxides are finished.

    Just a comment, not critique:

To solve the issue of polish creeping into cracks everywhere I wash the car using "tix degreaser", an alkaline solution diluted with water....

Re: polish or glaze to remove water spots

Water spots are removed with an acid or a polish with sour PH, you could basically use lemon.
