APC is an alcaline solution with pH around 10-11. It's a degreaser by pH so it's no wonder that it solves fat.

The Makita starts at 600 RPM which a grinder won't. I have tried to persuade them to drop the RPM down to 300 for starters but no luck so far. Great machine though.

You would like a product with 40-60% cut and a smooth finish. Major point is to work the product until all the various aluminium oxides are finished.

Try something with sour Ph, cut a lemon in half and use it on the windows.

Just a comment, not critique:

To solve the issue of polish creeping into cracks everywhere I wash the car using "tix degreaser", an alkaline solution diluted with water....

Water spots are removed with an acid or a polish with sour PH, you could basically use lemon.
