Wow Todd, that Ferrari Daytona was a mess, but you brought it back to gorgeous!
Excellent work Todd!

Re: RUPES BigFoot Mk.II vs. Ferrari Daytona
Nice work Todd but I can't help thinking you could have gone straight from Zephir to Diamond without the UHS?

Was if base coat clear coat or single stage?
That one reflection shot of the rupes poster and the shelf, It took me a while to realize it was a reflection. Amazing job is a under statement what a beauty.
Also got to get my hands on that mini, just waiting for sema to see what you guys do if your making a new mini.
😀
Thank you. It was basecoat/clearcoat and sanded pretty flat. It honestly made me look better than I am but I though it was a perfect demonstration for the Mk.II's power.

So you like the new soft-rubber top grips on the Mk.II? Oh, you are talking about the Ferrari

Have a great week at SEMA!
Start-to-finish about 10 hours.

Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to put this together and share with us.
Thank you Mike!

Results are impressive, perfect to say the least. By perfection I do understand limitations and I mean it when achieved the best ever possible: you did it!
I also liked the 'walkthrough' pattern you used for thread posting, I've worked this Ferrari vicariously through your pictures - thankfully 'we' finished it out so nice!
Thank you so very much for taking your time sharing with us,
Now I'll take another read and definitively share with my friends. Yes, I like my friends that much! This is a must see.
Best Wishes, from Brazil.
Obrigado meu amigo do Brasil.

More than likely, yes, I could have skipped the UHS step. The new Diamond is more aggressive than the original formula and likely could have reduced the polishing time while giving the same results. However, I really wanted to play with UHS on the Mk.II and chase down any remaining fine scratches.

I believe sometime after the 1st of the year, but not 100% sure. It shouldn't be too long.

Re: RUPES BigFoot Mk.II vs. Ferrari Daytona
Thanks Todd, how do I differentiate from the old and new Diamond?
Also using a scale of 1-10 for cut and gloss, can you advise from Zephir, Quarz(old and new),UHS,Keramik,Diamond(old and new) the abrasive and gloss levels?
Preferably a seperate dedicated thread and would be awesome if you could do the same for the pads too

Dear God, that's just ridiculous disgusting, in a good way. Lol. Amazing work Todd and thanks to you and all the Rupes team, I am going to go broke again, upgrading the machines with MarKII but I know, it's for the long run. Stick with the best and never look back.

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...on-charts.html should answer all of your questions.
Both the "New" Diamond and Quarz feature a new banner on the bottles. Both formulas are thinner and odorless as well.
In terms of cutting power, the new Quarz is about 10% better than the previous version and the new Keramik is about 20% stronger than the old Diamond. These are just rough estimates of course.

It is our pleasure and thank you for the compliments!
