Great to know! Thank you

Ronin does the Millie have the same rotational speed as the 3401?

Have you used non Rupes pads and polishes with the Mille? If so, how did it perform?

Technically I don’t know as far as numbers are concerned but a fair bit faster I think.

I tried a lake Country Flats & CCS, the CCS pads are a bit too fat so to speak & it wasn’t as smooth running them. The Flat pads were better but still not great. CarPro GlossPads & the orange polishing pads (I forget their real name) work really nice on the Mille. Menzerna, Meguiars & CarPro compounds & polishes all performed great.

Mille OPM 7490 @ 535rpm, 7840 @ 560 rpm, Mille has 14 orbits per rotation.
3401 OPM 4800 @ 480rpm, 10 orbits per rotation.
Mille is the much faster rotating and orbiting tool.

Yes I use it that way mostly as I prefer CarPro’s compounds, pads along with a host of other brands. Works well as a system too so feel free to experiment and find something that works well for you.

The AG store still says preorder on the Mille. Is it in stock yet?

How is this machine pronounced? Is it Mill? Millay? Millie? Why did Rupes do this? As if Roophez wasn’t enough? Lol.
I call it a Roops, because this is Merica.

First, AG only had the starter kit. Then, they had the deluxe kit. Both of those sold out quickly! I luckily ordered the deluxe kit as soon as I saw they were in stock. The deluxe kit is a good value, once you get used to Rupes pricing, if you know what I mean! Maybe AG customer service can give you more information about when the next shipment is expected. If your heart is really set on a Mille, I'd pre-order one. They obviously sell out fast.

I believe it's pronounced "Mill-eh". There was a video of Mike Phillips at SEMA, And that's how they pronounced it.
Even Todd Helme went back and forth between "Mill-eh" and "Meal-ay", so don't feel bad if you struggle with it!

Reason: watched video again. NOBODY gets it right!
