Re: Best polisher for a beginner
I’m with you dlc95. The Duetto is the first tool I go to now. I use it 95% of the time over my 15 & 21. But I had to buy every polisher Rupes made to figure that out. The first time I used it I fell in love with it. I think it’s far better than the 15. It has better performance than the 15 but in a smaller more maneuverable size.
I don’t think I would’ve listened to anyone if they told me to buy the Duetto over the 21 or 15. It was just one of those things I had to learn on my own. I think that’s what has hurt the Duetto. Everybody wants the biggest and best out there. (Including me at one point.) But the Duetto more versatile tool.

Well after some more research I ended up going with the Griot's g15. I believe it will suit my needs for the slightly lower price point, and the warranty is a big plus. Thanks for everyone's input. Also ordered the gyeon mohs kit. So after a full paint correction on my 17 silverado, I'm gonna go ahead and tackle my first coating.

Good to hear. I’ve never used one personally. I’ve heard good things about them. I think you’ll be happy with your choice. It’s a versatile little machine. Good luck to you.
