Re: Rupes mini or flex pe14
Is the rules mini a big difference from the gg3? Is it a lot more powerful?

Definitely more powerful, but don't forget, you're increasing orbit stroke length, so the Rupes MINI may not be able to fit into as tight or narrow spaces. I use a PC for 3" pads and converted my GG 3" to a 2" machine(2" backing plate) and it works good for that.

Re: Rupes mini or flex pe14
I'd say get the GG6 with a Griot HD 3in Backingplate
And also get ..
GG3 with D/A to rotary adapter/extension
This is what I would of done if I had to start over

I guess to run 1" & 2" pads. Will it work on a GG3 Dunno.

I use a Griot's 2" backing plate on the Griot's 3" and it works great. Anything bigger than 2" pads, the rotation drops off.

i have a 3" backing plate on my gg6 but I dont like it. Its to heavy for 3" pads and the casing on the head of the machine is to big. Its to easy to hit something accidentally.
