    Rupes Bigfoot Nano iBird

That is some price tag. AG, you need to have a 25% off sale soon.
My question is for the guys that already have one. Do these little machines have the "umph" to do headlight restoration. I think this would be the perfect mobile tool for just that purpose. From sanding to heavy buffing with 3" wool pad?

Rupes polishers are excluded from virtually every sale, even no exclusion sales.

Only the 1 1/4" backing plate is meant for rotary use.

2" backing plate is meant for 3mm and 12mm DA modes.

No 3" plate available for the nano as far as I know. 3" would be the lhr75 models.

Like what Audios S6 said, you can't really get any discounts with any Rupes polishers.

I was able to remove 3000 grit sanding marks with the iBrid. I'm sure you'll be able to remove headlight oxidation with ease. But you have to use the rupes 1.5" and 2.75" pads for that. Their blue coarse pads is definitely up to that task.

Yes. Headlights and paint correction are a breeze with this machine. It is such a high quality and well balanced tool and in my opinion worth the price. I couldn't imagine not having it in my arsenal.

Love my Ibrid. Really makes polishing tight areas easy. I haven't tried extensive headlight restoration yet with it. If you are more concerned about headlights a flex PE8 is awesome for that purpose

If your looking to pick up a machine for headlight restoration the PE8 would be the best choice. Especially if you are wanting to run a 3" wool pad.

However if you are looking for a machine to take on other aspects of detailing such as polishing pillars, door jambs, etc the iBrid would fit the bill.

There is a waiting list for this machine,I waited almost 2 months to get mine.I personally think it's a tad shy of power for headlight correction.on light correction to moderate I would say maybe.for heavy probably no.

Buy gift certificates! Use them to buy Rupes! Big discounts. I love my Nanos (short and long neck). Short works better for interiors.
