Kind of makes me wonder how necessary it is on the other tools.

The mini is regarded as a monster of a polisher. There have been times I modded the Duetto and saw a fairly significant increase in defect removal. It might me one of those things where I'll cut modded, and polish un-modded.

I know that it's not supposed to be the case, but there is increased rotation with the washer installed, and that extra motion increases friction, which removes more paint.

The finish of the stock tools leave is fantastic, but then again, so does the Mini...
How do you feel the correction power is between the Duetto and the Mini? We often hear people say the Mini is a correction demon but nothing about the Duetto?

Plus it's cheaper trio, can use it for the wax spreader and leave the other two strictly for paint correction
Good point. Heck, TBO I had forgotten the Rupes Mini had a 12mm stroke.

I get some serious rotation with the washer mod on the Duetto. Maybe it's too much and why I feel it's hard on pads.

They're about the same to me, considering the area the Duetto covers. When I mod the Duetto, I feel like it's more powerful than the Mini.

The washer mod seems to make a larger improvement on the MKII's than the MKI, then ofcourse Kamikaze takes it up yet another level.

I must try Kamikaze plates sometimes too. Too bad they dont make 6" bp's. I wonder if anybody have tested 6" on Duetto, i might try that I could also do correction comparison 15mk2 vs 21mk2 5" and duetto. Wetsand p1500 with duetto and then buff it off with mf pads.

That will be a great test but from experience the 21 MKII is too much of a heavyweight in that company, it will be an obvious win. I'm pitting up my 21 MKII Kamikaze Beast against my Flex PE-14 rotary on a completely trashed hood on super hard German paint in a few hours.

Todd Helme said that he's removed 1200 with a Duetto, Zephir, and blue microfiber discs on fresh paint.

Zubair let us know how 21 compared against rotary.

Im sure Duetto can do that. My test hood is e34 bmw metallic blue and my 21 removed p1500 effortless using mf pad and compound. I only did 4 overlaps and it was ready for finishing and Diamond gloss with white pad was enough to remove microfiber haze. Sometimes i wonder who needs a rotary these days
