Those white LC Polishing pads have both closed and open cells. Just to let you know that they won't dissipate much if any heat. I did successfully use some Tangering LC closed cell pads on a Duetto, and Menzerna PF2500, but I was in constant concern I was going to blow them up.

HateSwirls actually went from a 3401 to a LHR15ES, or it might have been the MKII - I don't remember. Regardless, it seems to get work done well for him.

Relevant to the subject of this thread - I've a Rupes mini and 7424. Thinking of replacing the 7424 with Duetto. Should I go for LHR15 instead?

The 15ES and the Duetto are very similar in smoothness and speed of correction. The decision will come down to which form factor you prefer. Having already owned a PC and a Mini why not try something different?

Zubair - actually, I'm just getting started on detailing. I got the PC long time ago for actually polishing granite counter tops at home but never used it. huge difference between 15ES and Duetto? For which one mini is good companion?

A companion to the mini would be a Rupes 21, that way you have all bases covered.

I'm a big fan of the Duetto.

I borrowed a fellow local detailer's 21 last week, and while I thought it was insane how far it got that pad to orbit, I didn't like the long, rotary style chassis.

If they would make a 21mm Duetto, I'd be very interested.

But for now, I'm very happy with the one I have.

I have 21 mk2, 15mk2 , duetto and mini. 21 is by far the best machine, i can use both 5" and 6" pads and it is much more powerfull than my 15 mk2. I think im going to sell my 15 mk2, even my duetto outpowers it.

Wouldn't both of those options be extremely similar? Why get both?

There's going to be times/areas where 8mm will do better then 12mm
Plus it's cheaper trio, can use it for the wax spreader and leave the other two strictly for paint correction

Hasn't your 15 MKII proven to be faulty and repaired/replaced under warranty? None of my polishers stall that easily. My 15ES and 15MKII both have massive pad rotation and none have that issue you displayed in your video. I do agree the 21 MKII is the most powerful though, its quite evident when I compare it to my 15 MKII.
