Mark II 15
Can the 5" backing plate for the Rupes Mark II LHR 15 be purchased separately?

Re: Mark II 15
Is the backing plate different on the new mark II series?
I am only finding the 5" backing plate for the Rupes LHR 15ES.
They might be the same?

Re: Mark II 15
I heard from another thread that they don't sell the mark II backing plates separately yet.
And I don't know if the mark II 21 and 15 backing plates are interchangeable. I'm assuming they are.

My 15 ES plate looks like the MKII plate on the right, I do have the improved facelifted more powerful 15 ES though.

Re: Mark II 15
First batch of MKI have the rounder dime size hole and will not fit the newer Rupes. Later generation of MKI have the identical hole as the current MKII.
There is vast amounts of knowledge at your fingertips, use Google, Youtube, and the search button.

Correct. All backing plates are backwards compatible.
The original run of ES tools had a smaller slot in the backing plate and spindle key. While the first run of the ES tools will accept any backing plate, their original backing plates will not fit the newer tools.
