Just picked up a bosch GP712VS buffer.
I have not seen hardly any reviews of this buffer, It was between the 849x and the Bosch. I do as much metal polishing as i do so paint. I have always liked Bosch stuff so i thought i would give it a try and the Dewalt had just sold out on amazon.
Its smaller and a touch lighter than the dewalt with the same power. The speed control works flawless. It does a have little gear box noise and is a touch noisy. The trigger is a little different but works fine when you get used to it.
cons
The shaft needs an extension to mount spiral sewn metal buffs. The dewalt looks like it can mount them directly and clear the motor. The dewalt has both loop handles and a side handle, The bosch has only a loop(which i prefer anyway).
I would say its a wash with the dewalt, If you want a side handle get the dewalt if you want a smaller lighter buffer with just as much power get the Bosch.
