The new DeWalt DWP849X has been released, any word on when Autogeek will have these in stock?

They are finally coming out up a more modern upgraded version of the DW849 Rotary? Oh I will be getting this.

It's considerably lighter, the motor is more powerful, it now has a 600-rpm speed, the soft start feature (which some people don't like), a rubber cover over the head and in strategic areas, it comes with two handles and improved ergonomics.

    Re: New Dewalt

That is a thing of beauty!

The screens on the sides are actually removeable filters aren't they? It looks very well built and doesn't seem to loon as bulky as the older version.

What is in on the spindle? Is it a quick connect or a locking nut for the BP?

Do you like that you can rotate the handle? I think that feature would come in handy especially when working on very large panels or boats.

I think I will be ordering one very soon.

    Thanks for the update Barry.

I think that's one of these:

Optimum Double-Sided Rotary Adapter, double sided pad adapter, optimum center adapter
