Yeah. Some nutty people on here. I have used car products on a lot of stuff at home. I do use quick detailer to clean lots of things.

Hi Cara,
I don't wanna sound bias because I really am and I'm trying to really stay quite, but you might want to check into the Flex3401. The Flex3401 is right in the middle of a DA and a rotary, kind of a hybrid?!? Maybe...
I recently had a job where the paint was shot/defective, and the owner tried sanding the tailgate with 1000 grit. To my amazement the 3401 with an CCS orange/Megs 105 hid the sanding marks, but you could still see the grooves of the sanding if I were to point it out to you, but it was glossy.
A rotary probably would eliminate any flaws, I'm not to that level yet so I stay where I'm comfortable with Flex3401 I read a lot of positive reviews regarding the Griots DA especially with the new Megs MF DA system. Mark did a review with the new system and he loves it, but I don't think it works that well with the Flex3401. Well I'm just rambling on there's a lot of options...

Hey Cara,
Think of it this way, if you buy a DA today and next year you want to advance/upgrade to a 3401, now you've spend twice the money vs. spending the money once. That's really cool of James to allow try out his DAs/tools before hand! It will really allow you to get a feel for different brands. Never know the GG DA might tickle your fancy, I'm looking to get one as a back up so my friends who help me out can follow me during a polish session.

Re: Can you help explain this?
Even though I use a Makita 9227, I always use my PC on bumpers, and other plastic parts...
I do though still use the Makita for Jeweling the paint. Would a DA make it come out better?
